Wouldn't Ka D'Argo, from Farscape, fit into this trope? Supposedly from a warrior race similar to Klingons, but usually seems ineffective, a cannon fodder race at best.

Glee: I honestly can't think of ONE example of Rachel bragging about her dancing ability outside the pilot. And she supposedly "constantly talks about it"?
