Check the page's history. It was removed because it was only describing a certain expansion within an otherwise well-received card game. If the Yu-Gi-Oh! card game itself was horrible, it would fit, but the entry better belongs in the Dork Age trope instead.
Fair enough, I just thought since that Top Trumps set was there, then it was free game. Then again each Top Trumps set IS indeoendent of one another, you can't make a deck with WWE Wrestlers, The Simpsons and Dr. Who...though it woukd be awesome
Cyberdark impact is still shit though
Does Kult actually belong here? All it's entry tells me is that it's very violent and may need a decent memory if you go by the rule book. The page doesn't tell me much either, and makes it seem like it's got a fanbase.
Edited by mariofan1000 Hide / Show RepliesThat example has not enough detail to belong here. Delete it.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanTo elaborate on this matter, I looked up Kult and judging from the opinions of Board Game Geek, it seems to vary on how much they'd prefer the mature artwork and how complicated the rules can be. Violence and mature themes alone do not make anything SBIH, especially when the box clearly states it's suggested for mature audiences. So yes, it's a good call to cut it.
- KULT. Scrye magazine once published a checklist of the game and its sole expansion "for when the subpoena comes". The game featured art that stretches the meaning of gorn. Instead of being turned sideways (which was patented), cards would be placed face down... with counters already on them... so you'd better remember what the text on that card was!
Moved this here, because the Board Game Geek website seems to consider it more... average or even good instead of outright horrible.
- The newer version of 13 Deadend Drive, called 1313 Deadend Drive. The premise behind it (a bunch of characters attempt to bump each other off before Midnight to get the inheritance) is a great one and had been done well before, but the execution in the remake is horrible. The game takes three hours to set up and is filled with very small pieces that are easily lost and broken. The rules are almost incomprehensible. The worst part? If whoever controls the cat can get her out of the house, which is fairly easy because it takes a while to be able to bump off characters, then they've basically won right there.
Who chopped the old entry for FATAL in half? I rather liked it, and thought it was actually pretty informative. So much is bad about the game that the entry has to be long to get it all down.
Can someone please elaborate on the "Chainsaw Warrior" entry? There's hardly anything there!
Why isn't Hybrid listed? It's considered the third part of the unholy trinity of Tabletop RP Gs, next to FATAL and Racial Holy War
Fanfiction I hate. Hide / Show RepliesIt's complicated. It was listed here once, but the listing had no details, only a link. The link turned into a deadlink, and after that the work got cut. There's more in the archived discussion.
There is a fine line between recklessness and courage — Paul McCartney- Continuum Roleplaying In The Yet: An RPG about time travel with some interesting fluff and ideas on Time Travel, but a system that's unplayable, at best. You need about sixty different kinds of dice for a regular game session. The time-travel element required proprietary dice and cards that were never released. The DM is encouraged to split the party — a cardinal sin of D Ming — and worse, split them through time during THE SAME EVENT. The game offers no help for how to handle the paradoxes that this last situation cannot help but create.
I removed this entry, because a quick look turned out several positive reviews.
I removed this listing:
- There was a Star Trek: TNG board game that was astonishingly byzantine. The rules were utterly incomprehensible.
- Was this the one that came with crayons?
If we can't even figure out what game it is, it probably shouldn't be listed. Also, the listing is extremely vague, and says virtually nothing. If you can't be bothered to explain why it's SBIH, don't list it.
Should World of Synnibarr be here? It's not as terrible as FATAL, but that's not really saying much.
Edited by Taeraresh Hide / Show RepliesIMHO it's not supposed to be pure Troll Fic race. Or there would not be any prose "not as terrible as My Immortal" listed. =)
...And even I make no pretense Of having more than common sense - R.W.WoodCrowbar: Hey, why did someone cut Empire Of Satanis? That's something that warrants explaining, I believe.
Hide / Show RepliesBecause there are enough people who think it's So Bad, It's Good that it's listed there.
There is a fine line between recklessness and courage — Paul McCartneyHehe, I guess they're right, it's pretty funny. But I can't seem to find it there, either.
What happened to Cyberdark Impact? That Yugioh! Set that NOBODY liked.
