I move that we eliminate from this page "These actors were all in Movie A, and then they were all in movie B" entries, as well as "These two actors were in Movie A together, and later would be shipped by some fans" entries.

Entry: "The movie Alaska features a poacher is played by Charlton Heston. He would go on to become president of the NRA from 1998 to 2003."

How does this fit the trope? The way I read it, it implies that being a poacher is the same as owning a gun. And I don't see how A fits B as any kind of joke or irony in hindsight.

I was wondering whether or not the following example really counted, since Word of God is that Earthbound was making a deliberate reference to the film:

  • In one scene of the classic Japanese 1957 film The Military Policeman and the Dismembered Beauty, one perpetrator takes off a woman's clothing, all the while he says, "I feel... good..." and "I'm h-a-p-p-y!" and the woman shouts out, "It hurts, it hurts!!", right before he kills her! Seriously, how could you watch this scene and not be reminded of Giygas?

Would Jimmy Stewart playing a character who is afraid of heights (in Vertigo) be an example of Hillarious In Hindsight, considering that outside of his acting career, he was a bomber pilot in the Air Force?

It's not really "In Hindsight", since the original audience would have known that as well as we do.
