Note: I've trimmed some of the entries. Mentioning them here in case others disagree:

  • Great Library was hyped by the original Civ 1 guide, yes, but it's actually garbage. If you're econing, you shouldn't be so far behind on techs as for the effect to do anything. If you're warmongering, these are games that give you a tech of the other civ on city conquest. If you're doing some dopey one-city challenge, then you're using diplomacy to get techs and can't afford the precious shields. Plus, Civ 1 GL expires really quickly anyway. It's not even good, let alone a Game Breaker.

  • The Civ 4 Pyramids are POWERFUL, but not a game breaker for reasons discussed in the original entry: they're extremely expensive. More of a reward for being Industrious as a trait, but that's priced in that they're going to get some good stuff in exchange.

  • Civ 5 Giant Death Robot is far far too late to matter. Anyway, if you are fighting late-late game wars, nukes are how you deal with Immoral / Deity unit hordes anyway, and the cleanup unit sent in after the nuke lands hardly matters.

  • Civ 5 Venice hype is weird? All the tier lists I've seen have them middling or so, albeit highly map settings dependent. Yes, they're better on Archipelago, but so is every civ because the AI can't handle water maps that well. https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/bnw-deity-tier-list.505057/ for one of the more famous lists for ference.
