With the Saban Era officially ended, I presume it's okay to change the logo to the new one?
Didn't Hasbro make the Action Man toys back when both it and Power Rangers were on Fox Kids?
Hide / Show RepliesI hope to God the next morpher to be revealed isn't another Swiss-Army Weapon.
Whose idea was it to change the caption for the logo photo? It's not like the Neo Mighty Morphin Power Rangers built the franchise's legacy or anything.
Power Rangers and Super Sentai will, for obvious reasons, contain the same examples on many tropes pages. Should these be merged into a single example (that mentions both series), or should they remain separate?
Hey guys, thanks for reading my comment. Be sure to like, subscribe, and add your own comments below. Be sure to check out my patreon. Hide / Show RepliesFollowing fighteer in the "In Fanfic pages, is it automatically assumed that it shares the tropes of the original work?" discussion in Ask The Tropers:"There is no such requirement. Fan fiction is considered completely independently from the original work, at least as far as tropes are concerned. Note that this also means that one should not assume that a fic contains the same tropes as the original, and the only tropes listed should be those actually present in the fic." I guess that this probably applies to adaptations- this means that they are considered different examples.
This is done somewhat - on the Trope pages the examples are presented in a single bullet if they apply to both series. But since the works can and often do differ quite a bit from each other, it makes sense for them to stay separate.
Should we make a new page for the Boom comic series which takes place in a different continuity from the series? And if so where should stuff about the Pink Ranger series go because that one is said to be in continuity from the show?
Given that the upcoming reboot will be titled "Power Rangers"◊ (or "Saban's Power Rangers"), should the page designated for it be Power Rangers (which would currently redirect to MMPR: the Movie), or Power Rangers (2017) ?
Flying a plane is no different from riding a bicycle; it's just a lot harder to put baseball cards in the spokes. Hide / Show Replies2017.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Perhaps Film/PowerRangers could instead be a disambiguation page, listing both Mighty Morphin': The Movie as well as the 2017 Power Rangers (plus maybe a mention of going to the Power Rangers Turbo article to read about Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie).
Edited by Green_lantern40 Highly collectible. Buy two.Can we do a Just for Fun article for Amit Bauhmik's outline for Power Rangers Cyber Corps?
Is it nitpicking to think that Megaforce should be listed as a localization of both Goseiger and Gokaiger (as there is indeed at least some footage from both at this point)?
Hide / Show RepliesIt'd have to be worded carefully, but since it's an adaption of both, yes, it makes sense. It may not be a bad idea to wait for a lot more of the season to come, to see how much is adapted. If only to give a simple yet decent and reliable description of how it was adapted.
...It's weird having so many websites and no way to properly display now, lol.A request to people who've seen most of these shows (it's been way too long ago for me to really make an accurate assessment, and I've only seen the first show and the movie): can someone update the entry for Power Rangers for Super Weight? It's a Just for Fun homegrown ranking at TV Tropes of measuring characters' relative power in a story, divided into nine broad categories. The entry according to the old criteria was this (and can be found on the medium subpage's discussion page):
- Power Rangers
- Type -1: Presumably, the normal humans in the buildings the monsters blow up
- Type 0: The normal humans we actually see, Alpha, Justin outside of his suit
- Type 1: The Rangers out of their suits and other martial arts masters, grunts, monsters without special abilities
- Type 2: Most rangers, monsters, zords, and members of villainous entourages, Rita pre-redemption, Divatox
- Type 3: Tommy Oliver, Triassic Connor, fully-realized Nick, most Big Bads, the occasional Dragon, "super" and "ultra" Zords
- Type 4: Dark Specter, Zordon's evil-killing wave, implicitly post-redemption Rita
- Type 5: The Universal Morphing Grid
I just gave the WMG page an overhaul sorting the Guesses by Season. Tasks for others to do:
- Relocate everything relating to Power Rangers Megaforce to its WMG page!
- Sort through each individual season doublechecking that each guess is in its proper place.
- Establish the following WMG Pages:
- Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers
- Power Rangers Turbo
- Power Rangers Time Force
- possibly S.P.D. & Jungle Fury as well depending on their ultimate sizes.
Dragon Ranger, you have this checked out, so please add that Megaforce is Goseiger.
Edited by DigifiendWhy has RPM been moved to the series namespace and not the other seasons? Are they all going to be moved eventually? Because it should be all or none for a series like this. While I do understand moving the work pages off of Main, this was an unusual place to start, hence the question.
Edited by zxynoxiaDragon Ranger, why is it so important to bog down the article in a bunch of wordy details about subverting Sixth Ranger, when it isn't important to have a list of all the Big Bads and Dragons in the shows history, things you yourself deleted.
Also you deleted an explanation of about new characters being added to Sentai teams that was in a hottip (thus not interrupting the article) for not contributing enough.
Edited by wswordsmen Hide / Show RepliesGood point. I didn't understand why you were deleting the recent edits, but now that you've explained it, it is kind of contradictory. I do think it's interesting to note that a series so known for the trope that it's the Trope Namer has a fair amount of subversions and even double subversions, but maybe there's a more concise way to put it.
Actually, the early seasons of Power Rangers used both Invocation and By the Power of Grayskull!.
Actually, much like Captain Planet:
CP's Invocation: Then Let Our Powers Combine CP's Greyskull: The elemetnal calls (and Heart!)
MMPR's Invocation: It's Morphing Time (and Back to Action! this one bypasses the Greyskulls) Greyskulls: The Dinocalls
Season 2 had both for the Zords themselves Invocation: We Need Thunderzord Power, Now! Greyskull: Old-Animal New-Animal Thunderzord Power!
Then again the Alien Rangers do have a stock transformation that morphs all 5 at once bypassing their Greyskulls ("Color Aquitar Ranger!")
Edited by DonaldthePotholer Ketchum's corollary to Clarke's Third Law: Any sufficiently advanced tactic is indistinguishable from blind luck.Admittedly, I haven't seen either outside of Linkara's history lesson, but Turbo was Lighter and Softer than the parody series, is that seriously true?

Should I change the page caption with "Fighting evil forces on foot or in Megazords and using Sentai footages since 1993"?
