For the Moon Logic Puzzle entry, I think whoever wrote that is mistaken about what's going on. The lines Trent is cutting along are supposed to be the state borders, not roads. Trent cuts out all the covers, glues them together into the shape they form (like a normal puzzle) and sees that it forms New Hampshire. He had the larger map made specifically to prove his hypothesis to Linda and Charlton Heston (seriously, look at it in the movie, it's just a drawing of New England on drafting paper with state names dropped in; Trent could have made it himself), and then divines the location of Hobb's End itself by pointing out the position of a star located somewhere on the stitched-together book covers.

To summarize, all Trent did was create a map of New Hampshire using the outlines drawn on the book covers and then point out a star on it. Honestly, it seems harder to believe that none of Cane's other, more obsessive fans noticed it first.

Possible additional Shout Out to the original Invasion of the Body Snatchers. The wrap around story that takes place at the end- the beginning is very, very similar to the tacked on beginning of Invasion (but not the tacked on end).
