This trope was renamed because of rampant misuse. The old name, Shallow Love Interest, was being confused with Designated Love Interest and/or cases of The Ditz or Dumb Blonde who happen to be a love interest. I can't tell if this one is misuse or not. If it's not, feel free to re-add it.
