Given the massive size of the SC 2 page now, and that it's a bit unintuitive to group characters by race, perhaps we should split up the pages by faction?

I'm sorry but mengsk and kerrigan are both complete monsters. mengsk flat out admits that he doesn't give a shit about human life if it gets in his way, nullifies what little excuse he has when he does the SAME THING THE CONFEDERACY DID TO HIS WORLD ON A LARGER SCALE, and is heavily implied to be KNOWINGLY helping the Dark Voice bring about the apocalypse by developing the hybrids in his lab. Kerrigan forces zeratul to kill his leader and than mocks him about, coldly murders the UED fleet even though degaulle was willing to surrender, and slaughters billions of innocents for obscenely petty reasons (in WOL it's to get an artifact, in BW it's to get revenge). and that's not even getting into how she turns other terran's into zombies trying to replicate the process that infested her. If neither of these guys are complete monsters, than there is no such thing as a complete monster.

I am 99% sure Mengsk is a complete monster, but Kerrigan... sure, she did horrible things (understatement) but at least in the very beginning, Kerrigan did NOT want to become the Queen of Blade that she currently is. Does complete monster require the character to DELIBERATELY cross moral event horizon?

How is the magistrate not a real character when that person is part of everything in the first chapter?

From Raynor's section:
- Idiot Ball: He juggles a couple in the sequel. Tychus tells him he can't get out of his armor. Matt later adds to that that the armor is capable of killing Tychus upon receiving a signal. Tosh tells him that he senses Tychus is having an inner struggle with something he doesn't want to do. The entire campaign is spent dropping obvious hints that Tychus is hiding something, and Raynor and Matt agree that someone is using his suit to put a metaphorical gun to his head. Raynor doesn't give any of this serious thought, and of course, Tychus turns out to be The Mole.
From Arcturus Mengsk's section:
- Idiot Ball: Juggles several in Starcraft II. He lets Tychus Findlay out of jail on the condition that he assassinates Sarah Kerrigan, who has not even been a threat for two years up to that point. Why would you trust a random convict with this mission when half your fleet can't deal with the forces on Char? He then proceeds to let Tychus Findlay do whatever the hell he wants in Raynor's gang. Any time Tychus is a part of any military operation, he doesn't even question exactly what it is he's doing, despite that the ending establishes he has a commlink hooked right into Tychus' suit. The game also establishes that he can terminate Tychus in the event of non-compliance. Despite this, he's never prepared for anything Raynor does in the game despite that he has a potential mole right there, and is equally oblivious to his involvement with his son Valerian, which would've tipped off his betrayal. Really, the only way to justify ANY of this silliness is if Valerian and Arcturus are working together afterall and he wanted Raynor and Tychus to get as far as they did. In that case, why was Valerian's plan to keep Kerrigan alive?
- Who says he was monitoring Tychus 24/7? He only called when he really needed it (ie when Tychus was in the hive) In addition, most of the attacks that Raynor pulled were fairly small scale (except for Media Blitz, and even then he only knew that Raynor had damaging info in those broadcasts. Given his shock when Lockwell played the recording of his Motive Rant to Jim, he probably had no frigging cllue just HOW damaging Raynor's recordings were.) He probably figured he could bluff his way out if Raynor happened to succeed, and that therefore it wasn't worth pulling the plug on his asset. Also, he probably knew about his son collecting artifacts; the only thing he seemed shocked about was that Valerian had the balls to activelly use 1/2 the fleet to launch an attack on his own intiative. Most likely he expected Valerian to contact him THEN they would carry out the assault together. He did have dealings with Narud without his son's knowledge, and Valerian is still a somewhat inexperienced kid in some areas.
- The secret level "Piercing the Shroud" seems to imply that Mengsk is actually working for the Dark Voice, who has a very keen interest in seeing Kerrigan dead. Also, continously monitering tychus would have involved constantly transmiting signals that would have made raynor too suspicious of tychus (they were suspicious of him already

I think that Arcuturas Mengsk has become a complete monster, or at least ever closer to complete monsterdom.
1) Atrocities -Using a psionic cannon to lure zergs and kaboom them together with Tarsonis, killing billions of people. (Moral Event Horizon) -Abandoning Sarah Kerrigan alone in Tarsonis -Dominion: A dystopian empire. Dictatorship. Propaganda. Conscripting psychics to Ghost Academy.
