TV Stannis is a refurbishing of the book character in order to maximize the sympathy towards him. For some weird reason even book Stannis has lots of passionate fans, but ultimately both are just self-entitled warlords craving power. The current version of the article seems to fail to notice that.

Okay, your other post reeks of bias, but this one makes it clear, especially since the TV version of Stannis very clearly goes out of its way to make Stannis worse.

Should I add Fake Ultimate Hero to Stannis? At first it is set up for him to be Azor Ahai, but the fails and Mellisandre declares Jon to be The Prince Who Was Promised.

No, definitely not. A Fake Ultimate Hero is someone who fakes his own heroism. Stannis wasn't the ultimate hero, but he wasn't "faking" it, he genuinely believed. Decoy Protagonist or Chosen Wannabe fit better.

  • Expy: The three Baratheon brothers resemble much the three Greek gods Zeus, Hades and Poseidon.
    • Robert is one of Zeus. He led the rebellion against the Targaryens like Zeus overthrew Chronos. Both characters are also sleazy, hedonistic and unfaithful. Their escapades have generated many bastards and their wives hold a big grudge against them for that.
    • Stannis is one of Hades. Like the god of the Underworld, he's stoic, somber and ruthlessly devoted to the law. Dragonstone is a volcanic island, and volcanoes were often related to Hades and his Roman counterpart Pluto, to the point that a kind of igneous rock is called "pluton". It is also a grim place that nobody likes, and Stannis's bitterness at being Reassigned to Antarctica reflects Hades's rancor towards Zeus for being assigned to the underworld. Also, apart from his intercourse with Melisandre, Stannis is faithful to his wife like Hades was to Persephone, although Stannis's marriage is much less happy.
    • Renly is one of Poseidon. The correlation here is looser than in the previous two cases, but Renly's homosexuality mirrors Poseidon's relationship with Pelops.

From Expy article: Short for "exported character", an expy is a character from one series who is unambiguously and deliberately based on a character in another, older series. A few minor traits — such as age and name — may change, but there's no doubt that they are almost one and the same.

Zeus and Robert almost the same? Hahaha No. Ditto for Hades and Stannis. The last one is a complete shoehorn.

  • Modest Royalty: Stannis epitomizes this, and his daughter Shireen is a gentle, personable, casual and overall nice princess, despite living a reclusive and neglected existence. Robert is impressively down-to-earth (his spending habits notwithstanding), and Renly is extremely conscientious both in administration and to the common soldiers of his army (despite his fine dress).

Removed this as a family trait. Tropes Are Flexible and all, but it's a dressing trope, not about royals not being haughty but about avoiding fancy clothing. Stannis qualifies, but Renly doesn't, he wears a stag crown and the fine dress goest against the very trope. Robert is in the middle, but not enough beggar-like and he likes to wear the golden crown around.
