Oh God, I recognize that name from the Bioware Network Forums. Xilizhra is something of a major elf and mage fanatic on there, usually downplaying or outright denying any mage and elf wrongdoings in the canon of Dragon Age. Deleting anything negative about Merril's character would fit how she usually acts.
Ask for a mod to restore the vandalism.
