Well this is odd, the page is having the too long page warning now so it should be split. But since more tropes and information can be added to some BL2 characters now that the third game has been released, this page is still bound to expand when tropers come in and add stuff from the new game.
Maybe we can move the DLC NPCs to their own page, and modify the navigation links on top? Again, I find this odd as the last time I checked, I think there was a Borderlands 2 DLC Characters page (Edit: Anyway copy this link to your browser since TV Tropes forums still mess up hyperlinks with slashes - https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Characters/Borderlands2DLCCharacters) but it has been emptied now and its contents merged into this characters page. Maybe we could move the entries under Captain Scarlett along with the lower half of this page back to the DLC page?
Edit: Anyway, this has been resolved, troper "Stolen Moment" already fixed this page as of this writing.
Edited by DanteVin With Great Power, Comes Great MotivationI'm thinking of Labeling Handsome jack as an Ubermensch. He has the rejection of conventional morality, the charisma, and the desire to create a new world but I want a second opinion.
Hide / Show RepliesHe has those qualities, true, but he falls short of the ideal because 1. Jack is a massive hypocrite. 2. Jack is actually a very needy person who really wants other people to confirm how great he is, to the point of reacting violently to rejection (e.g. Moxxi and Angel) and building his own city to worship him after he kills everyone. Which rather kills the pure independence part of the concept.
Edited by CrowleyI'm thinking of adding Deiter Von somethingzimmerschneit to the character page, since he provides a few subquests and lots of commentary about his character while you're doing them.
Anyone know how to spell his damn name though? XD
Hide / Show RepliesI'm thinking that in a similar context to how the first game's character page is labelled by faction/corporation, so too should this page, so I'm thinking something like:
- For the characters in the Captain Scarlett DLC, something like Oasis/Wurmwater?
- Just having "Torgue" for the second DLC could work out, seeing as, aside from the arena itself, the corporation is apparently staffed by the same kinds of mooks you've blasted your way through in Pandora.
- Professor Nakayama could be placed under "Hyperion" for obvious reasons. And if there would be at least one fleshed-out character aside from him in Aegrus, the continent would have a folder too I guess.
I'm not gonna make a big deal about it, but the reason I spoilered the Warrior's entry is because its very existence is a spoiler, just like certain villains from Kid Icarus Uprising. Hell, we even have a trope for it.
Shamelessly plugging my comics, Oh yes.
Just a heads up: there is a current furor on tumblr over whether or not Tina is still lesbian or is bisexual. Hopefully this will not spill over here.
