I think a lot of the "Krei went ahead with an experiment that he knew was flawed" on his section needs to be cut, or at least expanded upon with more details.
We're certainly supposed to have that impression, considering he's a Red Herring for the villain, but the one time we hear him described as doing this, it's from Callahan, who is heavily biased and probably believes it himself. The actual evidence we see shows that the experiment was literally described as being "Within parameters." The failure was a fluke.
Click for more crappy pixel artOkay, I pulled a mention of Dolph Lundgren being Comic-Book Fantasy Casting for Callighan. Now, I mostly did this because I have eyes and they work, and ten seconds of Googling turned up absolutely no connection between the two.
So if someone has anything resembling evidence of this, go nuts. Until then, leave it off.

Edited by ASplashingKoi Hide / Show RepliesExcessive spoiler tagging, I believe.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanSo where is all the stuff about Go Go being like a sister to Hiro coming from? Is it in the prerelease materials or online bios? In the film she didn't seem any closer to him than the others to me.
Hide / Show RepliesFrom what I've seen, it's mostly fanon interpretation of their relationship.
I'm getting strong Hartman Hips vibes from Gogo, and even more so from Cass Hamada. Can I get a confirm before I add them to those characters?
Was Hiro named such because he's a hero? If so, then he has a Meaningful Name.
Edited by 108.234.130.143 Hide / Show RepliesSeems highly likely that that's where his name comes from.
Edited by daktaI think Go Go is a Captain America Expy due to her sharing his superhero skills, good heart, and strong morals.
Hide / Show RepliesThat's ridiculously vague.

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanStill quite vague. There's an entire trope page for characters who throw discs as weapons.
Expies should be explicit (either stated by Word of God or really blatant). "Goodhearted person who throws discs" =/= Captain America.
Besides, "similar" is not enough to qualify something as Expy.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanDude, that is really arbitrary. A couple of red and blue stripes notwithstanding, she predominantly dresses in black and white — and her superhero costume is yellow. I'm not seeing anything that screams "STEVE ROGERS" anywhere.
That's nice. It's still not an Expy by any stretch of the imagination.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Yeah, similarities can be obvious. They still don't qualify for Expy.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanMr. Yama is never called "mister" in-film. Should he be referred to as such in the char sheet?
There are unmarked spoilers in the descriptions of some characters, even though the trope examples are tagged. Should we put tags on the descriptions as well?
"Can't say fork? That's bullshirt!" Hide / Show RepliesWell, no tags are allowed in the description. But don't worry, I have a solution to this problem.
Would it be worth reorganizing the main 6 heroes into their own "Big Hero 6" team folder- with an additional "The Team in General" sub-folder? We can put all the tropes regarding their status as a group into it, like the color coded characters, five-man band, reality ensues (considering their rather poor performance initially due to lack of proper team training) etc. Just throwing it out there.
Pulling a lot of Expies:
From Gogo:
- Expy: The discs on her armor mimics Captain America's shield.
- Her civilian clothing even includes red, white, and blue.
- She uses shields. At most, you could say that her fighting style might be a Shout-Out to Captain America, but that's about it.
- Her civilian clothing even includes red, white, and blue.
From Baymax:
- Expy: Like The Vision, Baymax is (eventually) a crime-fighting robot.
- Seriously? Because he's a robot who fights crime. That's... insane.
From Wasabi:
- Expy: His blades are similar to Wolverine's claws.
- We have an entire trope called Wolverine Claws. And his don't even qualify for that.
Honey Lemon:
- Expy: Honey is a blonde who has a profession in science and is the love interest of the hero in the comics. Gwen Stacy, anyone?
- Okay, we're taking characteristics from two very different Honeys Lemon here. But blonde and "in science" does not an Expy make, and the "love interest in the comics" is irrelevant to the movie.
- Word of God describes her as the happiest person in the world. Sounds a lot like a humanized version of Princess Uni-Kitty.
- So being The Pollyanna means being an Expy for Princess Unikitty? Really?
Fred:
- Expy: With the exception of the Hulking Out part, Fred is essentially a younger version of The Incredible Hulk.
- Zero Context Example, and kinda nonsensical to boot. Does it mean he's similar to Bruce Banner? Because even that isn't right at all.
Cass Hamada:
- Expy: She can be described as a younger version of Aunt May.
- Zero Context Example. And Aunt May minus the "little old lady" bit isn't terribly distinctive.
Tadashi:
- Expy: His death is what makes Hiro become a superhero, much like Uncle Ben.
- It's like they're not even trying. That is way too vague.
The only one I'm really okay leaving is Hiro (which I'm a bit iffy on, to be honest), and Yokai (which is definitely intentional... being a kabuki masked villain from BH 6 comics).
Edited by 108.28.148.135 Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them. Hide / Show RepliesApparently, I missed these on Hiro's page:
- Hiro is the awkward, intelligent hero of the film who has a talent for inventing. Unfortunately, as he was growing up, he was relentlessly mocked by his peers because of it. Finally, as a teen, Hiro also forms an unlikely bond with a nonhuman companion. Hiro is the modern version of Hiccup.
- Interesting, but fairly broad and not likely intentional. It's a standard A Boy and His X archetype that they're both based off of.
- Some have described Hiro as the male version of Violet Parr.
- Some should probably give some context. Hopefully past "kind of shy."
- The powers his suit give him (Controlling a swarm of microbots with his mind) also makes him an Expy of Ant-Man. His helmet even has a vaguely Ultron-like design.
- Again, similar powers does not an expy make. Especially when the powers aren't even that similar.

Keep all these Expy entries off. They all suck.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanHere are the only ones I'm willing to leave on the page:
From Hiro:
- Expy: He has Peter Parker's backstory and dorkiness. And from Tony Stark, Hiro got his personality (albeit, somewhat nicer) and skill in robotics. The Disney Infinity trailer even has his armor respond to his thoughts, much like the Mk42.
From Yokai:
- Expy: Yokai is inspired by an obscure Marvel Comics villain called Lord Deathstrike. He was a professional assassin who also wore a kabuki mask.
- He also bears more than a passing resemblance to Amon.
I'm going to comment out the second point on Yokai for a lack of context.

I have watched the recent flip-flop that's gone on about the Brainy Brunette trope on the characters page. In reviewing the trope definition it seems we have a case where the trope does technically apply to these characters but doing so misses the spirit of the trope a bit. The trope is not just "is the character smart and brunette" but it also says "in a group of characters with diverse skills and appearances, the one with the most intelligence will stereotypically be a brunette".
When your cast are all students at a school of geniuses, if you add this trope to every one that has black or brown hair, you'll have a lot of entries that don't really add much value. It's kinda a given that they're all gonna be smart and you're simply drawing attention to their hair color.
As such, I would recommend removing all the individual entries and adding one bulk entry under "General" that acknowledges the school of geniuses setting and simply lists the characters who are brunettes (ie Hiro, Tadashi, Gogo, Wasabi).
I would also recommend removing the trope from Callaghan because 1) he's not part of the group of students, 2) his hair is more salt and pepper grey than prominent brunette, 3) he has other tropes in his section that acknowledge his intelligence.
