I think this article needs a massive overhaul as many authors seem to not understand the trope. Majority of the entries either make no sense or belong to the 'Aerith and Bob', 'Melting Pot Nomenclature' or 'Punny Name' articles. 'Awesome Mc Cool Name' means that a character's name is unusually flamboyant _in_universe_. In the Real Life and fiction set in our world it is rather simple. The problem starts when the name unusual for us are par of the course in-universe. In my opinion, a name that is excessively cheesy for us (e.g. 'Starkiller') is a fair game, especially when other character do not have names similar to ours, so the 'special' name really stands out. Take, for example 'Mass Effect' entry. Urdnot Wrex, Garrus Vakarian, Kaidan Alenko, Donnel Udina, Saren Arterius, Urdnot Grunt, Thane Krios, Zaeed Massani, James Vega, Tela Vasir, and Kai Leng may be completely ordinary names in future world (nothing marks them as 'awesome'), especially when it comes to alien races ('Urdnot' is the name of the whole Krogan clan). Also, Garrus Vakarian, Zaeed Massani, James Vega and Kai Leng are ordinary modern names (of Armenian, Arab, Anglo-Spanish and Chinese origin respectively).
