- On Bottomless Magazines. Yes, the Witches do use unusually large magazines for man-portable weapons, but even Beta C-magazines like the ones used on the the Karlslanders' M G42s only hold 100 rounds. With the average machine gun's rate of fire, that's only enough for a few seconds of shooting, and the squadron does a lot more than that before they run out. Also, the Strike Witches page indicates trope aversion, while the main bottomless magazines page indicates trope played straight. Being on the new side I wasn't sure how to proceed, hence this
