Is there a word for a page that's not a work page or a trope page, but is in one of the namespaces?

Maybe... but what about Unpublished Works? The glossary says a subpage has to be attached to another page, but these pages aren't. Yet, I wouldn't call them work pages either since they're in the Darth Wiki namespace..

Just "page" then? I don't think a more specific name is required aside their individual titles. Them not being "public" doesn't mean they aren't pages.

Wrote this entry and then paused to wonder if it's actually a thing that comes up enough to need:

  • Argenfargle and similar nonsense words: Tropes, trivia items, and YMMV items collectively. Policies which cover all three are usually colloquially referred to as being about "tropes", but the latter two are strictly speaking Not a Trope. There's currently no official word that unambiguously refers to all three, so a placeholder word is sometimes used out of pedantry and/or a desire to avoid dealing with the pedantry of others.

I've never heard "Argenfargle" on this side, but maybe it's just missed me. (It sounds familiar, maybe it's a RL German meme). Search shows it's mostly used only in this thread (note that it's from 2010)

I believe Trivia and Audience Reactions are just called "Tropes" for convenience even if they're Not a Trope, or "Items" to be less inaccurate.

We've definitely seen it more recently than that... though not in the past few months at least. no we can't narrow it down further because time is too fake for us

If nobody else can remember it being in active use, then it probably doesn't need an entry. Unless it spontaneously comes back.

I never heard of this term before until now. Maybe it was something used more back then.

Do I understand this correctly?

  • Drama Importation: A form of Righting Great Wrongs. Other sites or private chats defining things differently from us, having own opinion on a topic, or having some sort of controversy, has little bearing on tvtropes's wiki or forum. "Because that site/chat said so" is a weak argument and may result in a suspension. Especially so if people have an issue with tvtropes's content and asks someone to edit on their behalf. The same applies if a troper has gotten into a problem with something or someone, then comes here with the intent to share their frustration. Inversely, drama exportation, like trying to correct other sites with our information or monitoring/contacting a problematic troper on other platforms, is not allowed either.

Not sure about the Administrivia.Righting Great Wrongs part. Drama importation can certainly be used for that but it's simply anytime someone tries to bring off-site drama to tvtropes.

What if the first sentence is removed?

I've asked about it before but got no sufficient reply, on the forums "drama" seems to mean almost any cited biased opinion and not just off-site fights (yet allowed on YMMV/), so I'm trying to figure out what it's actually referring to. Would this be a Wiki Talk question?

Well, I think linking a bunch of people's comments on a forum post and going "look at these people with the wrong opinion" has the potential of bringing of negativity to TVT or the other site (if people decide to go there to join the discussion). I don't know if linking a biased option by itself is drama importation but I suppose it's how the person does it.

I don't know if it's a wiki talk question if it's about forum moderation. I think if you need clarification on how the drama importation rule is enforced on the site maybe you can take it to moderation thread? Not sure if you asked about drama importation there or Ask The Tropers

Wanted to also add this, but before that would like a review if my understanding and phrasing is alright.

  • Page Ownership: A type of wonk when a troper discourages edits on a page they'd disagree with by means besides, but not excluding, Edit War, most commonly for pages they've created or are invested in. This is not an acceptable behavior, as This Is a Wiki.

I don't know if that count as phrase but I guess it will be useful to have. I'd replace when with where as far as phrasing goes but everything else looks fine to me.

I want to add this, but I've decided to hold back because it could be a sensitive topic. Is this summary concise and neutral enough? For the question "why mention at all", we have several public threads related to it, a mod notice at some pages, and it had major influence on current policies, so every once in a while someone asks what is it referring to, and I feel the brief explanation is warranted.

  • The 5T Incident (The Time when TLP Trolled Terribly): The chain of events involving two Trope Launch Pad drafts in 2020, provoking an unprecedented amount of trollposting. Is considered an Old Shame for the website and the discussion of it is strictly discouraged. The main point is that it led to mass suspensions, the ban on references to it outside the forums, complete overhaul of TLP Guidelines and strict moderation of activities in TLP.

Maybe? I still think it got more attention than it warranted but it did lead way to some policy changes in TLP moderation.
