resurrecting my own 5+ year old thread to say i FINALLY found it! this was in fact a vague memory of Alienators: Evolution Continues!
even MORE specifically this was a moment from episode 20, where the bulk-and-skull-alikes accidentally give the main villain back the monster-making macguffins. i didn't remember the scene EXACTLY correctly but i was close enough to find it five years later, so!
hopefully if anyone else goes looking for purple fried eggs this'll help them out

okay this has been killing me for a while. it's a western animesque show (maybe french canadian?), but literally the only thing i can remember is a single part of an episode. there's some monster the main characters are fighting, and one of their friends who's trying to help throws a jar full of these purple fried-egg-looking-things and loudly refers to them as "the purple goo," but it's the wrong stuff and only makes the monster stronger. this vague memory has been haunting me for so long, save me
