The more generic sense of "the (non-tracked, magical) vehicle knows where it's going, and I trust it" happens in the Turbo Power Rangers movie, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, etc.
mudshark: I don't expect Nate to make sense, really.

Closest thing I can think of would be Lie Back and Think of England.
My name is Freezer and my anti-drug is porn.
So SF Debris just reviewed four more MLP:FIM episodes, including "The Cutie Mark Chronicles." One scene features Rarity being drug along by her horn (via a magic homing spell or something) to an unknown destination. At first she struggles, tries to brace herself in an opposing direction, etc. Eventually she gives up, assumes a bemused expression, and just lets it happen. The works page doesn't have this "I am in no immediate danger, but my destination and/or actions are out of my control, there's no use in raising a fuss anymore, just sigh and let things happen" thing.
