Well, everyone has said that it's not a negative review, so I don't know what you're concerned about.

Groovy.

Man I loved that review. (The Critic cameo is hilarious)

But what I'm really hoping for is that Mara has run in with Plot Hole!Critic just to see what would happen.

[up] Well, the Plot Hole did absorb the entire universe, so, technically, Mara Wilson is inside the Nostalgia Critic.

Yeah but by going by Matilda she didn't get the full story on the Critic which gives off the possibility of seeing her reaction when she finds out. Or whatever..

[up]I loved the Critic, but I realize now that he was a character in a skit. If anything the NC's "reviews" could be used as a guide how to not make a movie.

The site will change, it happens. I want to see what Demo Reel will become. We'll always have the Bat Credit Card and the BLAM.

I've looked at the other reviewers on the site and TGTWG is in good hands. Some reviews are a stroll down memory lane (I loved Ghost in the Shell and Ultimate Teacher, thank you Sage for bringing back those memories). I disagreed with JO's review of Evangelion, but I understand where she's coming from and that she just didn't savage the series. She should look at Rebuild (a la S Fdebris) but hey, she has many irons in the fire. I watched her Witchblade review, and Film Brain's take on Equilibrium. Two pretentious films taken down point by point.

I'm on the fence for Angry Joe. Say what you will about PCXL, but that mag wasn't afraid to call BS on bad games and hardware. Every review I've seen is him GUSHING about the games. Even PC Gamer, the lighter and softer PCXL, has called out the turds in PC gaming.

If To Bodly Flees is their last crossover, fine. I will be disapoint but I can see if they want to move to other projects, as long as they keep being awesome.

I think it's acceptable to miss the Critic (confession: I can't watch To Boldly Flee again, it's a great mini-series but just hurts me really badly) and to be excited for the future. Compartmentalization is a wonderful thing. tongue

That could have gone worse. She could have gone on a week-long rampage insulting friends, alienating co-workers, and quoting Star Wars tie-in novel titles.

Groovy.

I was off by three posts.

Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.

@Filby: He quoted Star Wars novels? I must have missed that, first time it makes me glad I don't know much about the expanded universe.

So how 'bout That Aussie Gu—

I suck at this.

But in all seriousness, can anyone recommend me some less-popular TGWTG people to look at? I've been following just Doug, Lewis, Brad, and Lindsay for a while and should probably branch out.

Sage's Anime Abandon is pretty good, so is JO's anime reviews, and her Digimon Retrospectives are fantastic. Also, Todd in the Shadows is one of the best recent members on the site, as is Oancitizen.

I also suggest seeing what little of Film Conscience Luke Mocherie created, it's amusing and well done for what it is, it's just a shame he hasn't done much.

Oh, and What The Fuck Is Wrong With You by Nash is pretty funny as well.

This may be Fan Myopia at work, but Oancitizen and Todd are two of the less popular members of the site?

I'd recommend Pushing Up Roses. She's been on a break for a while due to health-related reasons, but she has plenty of hilarious (and at times insightful or heart-wrenching) videos to choose from. She does Let's Play Shortys (LPs of either short games or one or two shortish videos of her playing a game; recurring co-commentators include Paw, Todd, and Kyle), reviews of music-related shows that are nostalgic to her (especially The Monkees—and she's also done a review of their movie Head with Todd and Paw), and this one series where she makes fun of shows and movies that get computers wrong.

Yeah, by "less popular" I meant like Rollo T level, not Oancitizen level. But I agree that Kyle is really good.

I'm pretty sure Oan's still in the "C-List" reviewer category. To note: "A-List" consists of all of the front-line "heads" (like Linkara and Nostalgia Chick), "B-List" consists of all those who are very popular but not exactly one of the "heads" of the site (like Angry Joe and Film Brain), and "C-List" consists of everyone else.

Not that that says anything about the quality of Oan's videos. I think he does a great job. He just doesn't have the same....presence on the site as others do.

EDIT: As for Todd, pretty sure he's very high on the "B-List".
