More importantly though, it's also getting a Vita release!
With a new character to boot.
And online play because of the unexpected competitive Catherine scene.
Fuuuck, this game's only on consoles? Y'all went and made me want to play it, but I ain't a console player.
It's getting a handheld remaster so...
Atlus sadly doesn't have dev teams familiar with porting to most other consoles it seems, let alone PC. Honestly, a lot of this is probably only happening because Sony paid Atlus a fair bit of money to figure out how to port Persona 5 to PS 4 from PS 3, so now they've got the knowhow (there's a reason part of the P5 team, now Studio Zero is doing this after all).
Still, you can get a used vita for about $100-150 these days. If you've got the means, there's a ton of great titles.

Maybe later on I'll get a console. I'm not doing handhelds. I have no interest in those. I should dust off my old Nintendo stuff. It takes hours to render images sometimes, and I need something to fill in the time unless I do it at night/while I'm at work.
Oh, Vita version. Nice. Might get that. I only got into the game because it was free on PS Plus, but it was surprisingly fun but I just don't have a lot of time for console games (and my backlog is ridiculous); I never finished it. But I could prolly play through it on the Vita, since I need something to do when I commute (and poop).
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them....looking at Persona and Catherine together, it makes sense they were made by the same people. I knew Persona 5 looked like some other non-Persona title I had watched clips of, but I couldn't put my finger on what it was.
Of course I could have just looked at Wikipedia or the opening credits, but eh.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Here's a new Japanese trailer without subtitles:
Featuring a big clue regarding one critical difference between Rin and the other Catherines...
EDIT: Oh, and the game's coming to the States, so bring protection (phrasing).

Good now I can beat the game this time instead of getting sidetracked with Nier. :P
Mileena MadnessSo um..in case it wasn't immediately obvious Rin is heavily implied to be a transwoman
Eeyup...we're going there.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.My first question about the new character is this: human or demon?
There was already a transwoman in the original Catherine.
And she was handled about as tastelessly as you'd think in the end, but was alright for most of it.

Keyword "in the end". This one is being treated as a third heroine sooooooooooooo. Lots of room for fuck ups.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.I'm going to be naively optimistic and hope this means Atlus learned their lesson with their transphobia and are dedicated to getting it right this time.
On the flipside, Lala-Chan was a pretty good character despite being an NPC in Persona 5 so...it's not completely hopeless.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Oh, boy can't wait for the backlash about this news.
Mileena MadnessThe fact that she's a main heroine and that trailer scene likely happens towards the beginning leads me to believe that they're going to at least try to do it right.
...Keyword being "try".

This song needs more love.Even if Rin is a transwoman and they do "get it right" with her it still means nothing if Erica's portrayal is still the same.
Yeah that really needs to be changed.
I'd just settle for her not being deadnamed in the credits.
i. hear. a. sound.
Oh...God..this game...my brain...
