More interested in the kitsune and the fairy. They seem kind of out of place in Disgaea.

Maybe it's because I'm commander grump, or maybe it's because the international versions always get a new cover art and these are regulated to manual covers, but I'm getting kinda bored with the "massive group shot, main characters in center, generic classes surrounding them" pictures.

Eh, I guess it's like, it was cute the first time but now it's like, yawn.

It doesn't help that aside from the small handful of new classes, most of the generics are still using the same design they used since 2 (or the game they were introduced if they were introduced after 2). It's like, we recognize 90% of the people on this cover and they aren't even characters.

Disgaea D2 had an entirely different take on it, to be fair.

Speaking of which, first thing I ended up noticing is that the female Armor Knights are still around while the male ones are still nowhere to be seen. And That's Terrible.

I don't think the dude Armor Knights were that popular anyway, in terms of design or otherwise. The chicks are hot girls. The choice is obvious.

After D3, it does seem like they are avoiding redundant male/female pairs outside of the "base" classes (Fighter, Mage, Brawler, Healer), though DD2 did dip back into it a tad.

And shame on them for it!

I want my Gunslinger in HD.

I actually want to see the new heavy knights wearing outfits more like the old. Or at least armor that doesn't look like metal lingerie.

I do like the theme of having masses of characters including the generics on the cover, but yeah, it'd be neat if they could shake it up somehow.

They could have a bunch of ass shots of them.

That'd be different.

Rather than having twenty different characters, they should show one twentieth of a single character. Nothing but a shot of the MC's upper arm or something.

All of the characters leaping through the air in action poses. Though that would make one wonder about the scene of carnage when they all land.

So, Battle Princess of Arcadias ... Do I just suck at it, or there a LOT of Forced Level-Grinding at the start?

Fair enough, it is a NIS game. Do more interesting grindings spots ALA: Item World start to open up as you get further in?
