Gangrel, perhaps not. Walhart has an astonishingly large fanbase, though. Henry has a bigger fanbase than any of them, Peri included.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Isn't it a straight-up word-for-word of the original script into the new language, even when language construction, sentence structure and such is different, thus coming off as awkward and stilted without liberties being taken?
Adventurers: homeless people who steal from tombs and kill things. No, it's the exact opposite. It's when you change a lot of stuff to make it fit the new market better.
In the Heroes poll, Peri beat Gangrel and Walhart combined. She got about three times the votes of each of them individually. Henry was far more popular, but he's also the only one who doesn't slaughter the innocent.

Oh, huh, my mistake. Thanks for clearing that up.
Adventurers: homeless people who steal from tombs and kill things.Regarding having to read up on the Japan only DLC just to understand Peri, here's a quote by SF Debris that sums up my feelings on that mentality.
The same applies to games. No. I don't want to have to go to the wiki, and look up a translation of a Japan only DLC (Which I can neither buy, nor read of my own accord) just to see that a character isn't totally awful person. I was angry enough that to even understand the backstory of the Big Bad, or why the hell the Awakening trio were in the game, I have to PAY to find that out of my own accord. Instead of it actually being in the $20 expansion to a two version game which encourages you to buy both versions. (Or the AU$120 special edition that I paid for...)
I really resent when All There in the Manual is needed to understand the story. Because if I need to leave the story to read something else to understand it, the writer has failed at writing that part of the story. Even in things I like. I loved Nie R Automata, but I still thought that having a major character's backstory be told in a Japan-only stage play, and failing to properly explain it in game, kept me from getting as invested in their story as other characters.
Full disclosure: I never thought much about Peri... Mainly because I never really used her. In Conquest, I already have Silas as a welcome part of my team, and have usually got my champion party set up already. And Revelations, she's in Xander's goober squad, where she's both overshadowed, and i'm not willing to invest in them. So I really haven't gone into detail into her supports. Hell, the most i've used her is in Fire Emblem Heroes, because she was the only 5 Star Lance Cavalier I got.

A corpse should be left well enough alone...Fair enough.
The point I'm trying to make is that people like Peri for being darkly entertaining, much like the other three, not just for being female.
As a unit, Peri is very disappointing, yeah. Not only is she completely outclassed by both Silas and especially Xander, she's got a really bad stat distribution for a Cavalier. She's frail, which is bad for a class that's supposed to be shielding allies and sponging up hits, and doesn't even make up for it with good power.
Like, Setsuna is way outclassed by Takumi but she's at least still a good unit on her own merit. Peri doesn't even have that going for her.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I don't necessarily think that the point was that people like her because she's female, but that people are willing to overlook and excuse her actions because she's female and conventionally attractive, whereas they wouldn't invest as much time and emotion into Gangrel or Walhart.
Henry's case isn't nearly as bad as Peri's, so I don't see him as part of the comparison at all.
EDIT: RE All There in the Manual Discussion
I'm okay with All There in the Manual if the details it provides are literally unable to be put into the story, like how a ton of the Jugdral canon is in supplementary material, because there simply isn't enough space in the games themselves to expound on all of that.
Maybe minor details that they couldn't really work into the main story too, but when you've got important character and plot information only in the manual, yeah, that's when I have a problem with it too.

Adventurers: homeless people who steal from tombs and kill things.Thankfully, that bit from the DLC isn't needed to understand Peri, it's just a really nice way to show her character development. To me, it's an extra, if only because I already feel like the main game itself does a good job in showing her growth.
While I understand the intention behind that quote, I don't think it really applies here since the stuff behind DLC is just something extra that adds to the character, not something that is essential to understanding the character.

I don't doubt that exists, since it exists for every conventionally-attractive character who does something wrong, but I haven't seen a disproportionately large squad of people coming to Peri's defense compared to others. That's all.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! That is true. I bring up the quote in regards to the mentality of relying on All There in the Manual with the excuse of "Oh you can just read a summary online". I don't hate the practise in general. It's fine for fleshing out worldbuilding, giving some fluff stories and adding little traits to characters. It's when I need to read it to understand crucial backstory that I resent it. Like Anakaos' backstory, something that should have been in the main game. (Although it reeks of them trying to give him something in the DLC, especially given you never see his hooded form in the main game, while Heirs of Fate makes that his final form)
A corpse should be left well enough alone...Anankos's backstory is in the main game, it's just that the DLC gives you more details from his perspective. I do agree that having those details in the main game would've been fantastic, but I personally felt that the main game gave me a good enough foundation for understanding his plight; the DLC just made it much more tragic.

There's nothing wrong with being a "purist" though. Being upset that a localization cut out gameplay elements and completely changed the personality of certain characters/portions of the script and voicing your dislike of it is a perfectly fine stance to take.
...Late to the party much?
Also, that's not even the kind of thing I was talking about? At all?

Trans rights are human rights.Eh, Peri might have adjusted her targets, so that the people she gleefully massacred in Laslow's epilogue were bandits and criminals.
It's too vague to draw conclusions from. I imagine she gets a pass for the same reason Genocide Jack from Danganronpa does: we hear about her killing sprees, but never actually see her do it to anybody we care about.
If everyone were normal, the world would be a dull place. Like reality television.I was thinking little bit about FE Warriors and how to really add characters, and something came to mind: Who is going to be the healer Joke Character?
It's Wrys, isn't it?
Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru!Wrys
Fire Emblem Heroes Code: 4547311645 Fate/Grand Order Code: 188037115"LORD PROTECT YOUR HUMBLE SERVARGHAARGGH"
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I really like Peri, tbh. I like her design and her supports with Laslow.
And the hair color she passes down to Soleil. That's good too.
I can see why people dislike her though.
bro im literally a girl> has played Shadow Dragon on VC once
He is the first old guy healer you get, right?
The decaying fucker managed to level up with 0 stat gains. ZERO!
And yet he got a cameo in Codename STEAM. And, no, I have no idea what is wrong with Marth's arm in that one.
He's memetically popular in Japan.

Trans rights are human rights. For being shit?
Wrys would automatically be my main.
This song needs more love.Wrys is fine until you get Wendel
Where there's life, there's hope.
I don't think you're operating under the correct definition of Cut And Paste Translation.
Are you really implying that you think Gangrel and Walhart have fanbases as big as Peri's?
