They're all pretty decent enough, about as good as your regular first-gen units, with the Secret Hero probably being the best since he begins with a nice set of five skills, several of which he would never get through his regular class selection. Two others have skills otherwise completely unobtainable, and a few more just have good class selection.
I'm pretty sure the concept of Law having limits was a translation error. -Wanderlustwarrior@33448: I personally think that Lucina should've also been able to recruit the second generation characters just to see her conversation with a sibling Cynthia.
At the very least, their paralogue chapters are fun as hell to do.
They're hard but in a fun way.
Most of them.
Oh really when?I've heard Secret Sage's requires some serious Rescue-staffing. Good thing I have a FLYING DEATH PONY who can use staves...
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."Rescue staffing and that special kind of careless bumrushing and facetanking that can only exist on Casual
Oh really when?Yeah Lucina really should have been a secondary person that could recruit the children. I might be biased though, on my second run through, I always sent Lucina out on the child paralogues. Just cuz.
I'm pretty sure the concept of Law having limits was a translation error. -WanderlustwarriorFLYING DEATH PONY is so good even Wind magic can hardly scratch her. Bows would be able to, if they could hit her.
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."I still kinda dislike Pegasus Knights being weak to Wind magic, since it robs both Pegasus Knights of their anti-magic cred and Archers of their flier-killer function.
I sure said that!Well without it Pegasus Knights would be really tough. Being anti-magic completely would be a big deal in a game so magic-heavy, and the rest of a Pegasus Knight's stats are pretty decent. Besides, Wind magic doesn't really become fatal for them until late game where a weapon with, what would it be, 36 Might? Is kind of a big deal, and not, you know, 6 Might or whatever regular Wind would be. This is only kinda made up with Pegasus Knights early on having an HP problem but their Resistance is so good early on that you still have a good chance of surviving most blows from Wind.
I'm pretty sure the concept of Law having limits was a translation error. -WanderlustwarriorThe secret characters are all generally pretty decent at utility roles because they come with workable stats for little effort. Their inability to support anyone other than Avatar makes their killing power rather lackluster in combat (though those stats usually allow them to chip damage or face tank a hit if necessary).
I find the wind magic weakness doesn't hold back the Pegasus Knight line all that much, provided they're properly leveled. Even a cheat-forge Rexcalibur isn't a huge deal for a Falcon Knight or Dark Flier at their non-LB caps during the main campaign, unless they're facing a large set of enemies (and even then, if they've got something like Sol, they'll probably pull through).

That's their big selling point.
Oh really when?Which of the secret Paralogues is the easiest, and which is the hardest, would you say?
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."The Wellspring of Truth is probably the one you want to do first. It's not like grinding will make it any easier.
Priam's map is, by far, the hardest map in the entire game.

Heart of StoneThey scale up in order. I'm not familiar with the stats from other difficulties, but it should be guesstimateable for those who know the stats from playing the full campaign. Off the top of my head, on Lunatic, Sea King has enemies who will maybe have one capped out stat and the Berserkers are toting around 72 mt. Priam's has enemies with 3-4 capped stats and a much larger and diverse army than all the others. Wellspring is a weird one because it's almost entirely dependent on the player. Depending on difficulty, enemies may pick up some stat boosts, though they'll bring stock gear that will likely make them less effective, even discounting the player having pairup (for instance, I often use characters with Beast weakness, so I bring Beast Killers, whereas the AI will just shrug and bring forged Silver Lances).
FE: New Mystery Fresh Cart Lunatic 7PM PT Sun, Mon, Fri; Expert Unicorn Overlord 7PM PT Wed, Thurs: http://www.twitch.tv/kuroitsubasatenshiSurprised to hear Priam's is the hardest; it looks like a straight-up slugfest without gimmicks like the others.

50 units ain't no joke
Oh really when?Wellspring of Truth is a bit different in that its difficulty depends on your army. It can't really be ranked.
Otherwise, the easiest is probably The Dead King's Lament. It's a pretty standard fight against relatively weak enemies, though recruiting the central character is pretty difficult. After that, Irreconcilable Paths and Ghost of a Blade are pretty standard slugfests against an army of Risen, albeit more powerful Risen than most other missions. A Hard Miracle is quite difficult, with very powerful enemies and someone whom you need to keep alive. Rescue staves can help immensely.
Priam's paralogue is leagues beyond any of the other five, though, easily being the hardest mission in the game (excluding DLC). It's a straightforward battle with no recruit condition beyond "defeat the enemy", but you're up against 50 units with nearly-capped stats, and Priam himself is a monster on the battlefield. And they all attack at once, rather than move in progressively or wait to be aggro'd.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Captain Falcon for next Fire Emblem protagonist.
Oh really when?So do you think any of the kids have "assumed-canonical" fathers? There's Chrom for Cynthia, of course, and I also think Brady and Yarne look a lot like Vaike and Lon'qu respectively.
(Accdientally posted this in the SMT thread...)
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."Aside from IntSys really, really preferring Chrom getting together with Sumia, I don't think there's really anything like that.
I sure said that!NVM

Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."You might argue Olivia/Lucina for female Morgan, since they are the only mothers that gives her Tactician as her starting class (which is also the outfit she has in her portrait and official artwork). Applying the same method to male Morgan is harder since that leaves us with Chrom (who's already sorta-canon with Sumia) and one of the Spotpass characters. Clearly this means that female Morgan, and thus male Robin, is canon.
