To clarify this, they are very thick magazines, so scanning them directly allows the binding to create curves and shadows that make the inner edge of the page unreadable. In order to get the high quality scans the audience is used to, the pages must be made completely flat, which is achieved by tearing them. Most of the raws I've used have shown evidence of tearing, although I try to eliminate it through cropping and the paintbrush.

Seriously though, this is like book transhumanism (transbiblism?). The chapter abandons its mortal and rapidly decaying flesh to become a perfect and immortal copy of itself on the internet. Isn't that the dream?

You have to tear the pages? Can't you just cut the spine or something? (I assume these aren't the kind of magazine where the pages are stapled together.)

Ice scales, huh? Is the dragon particularly associated with ice, or does it have other elemental byproducts?

And, yeah, I'm willing to assume that this is the reason that Cirno is so strong

It's not just "the dragon", it's Suiryuu, last mentioned in WAHH chapter 13 by the fearful kappa. It's unclear if that's a name or a description, but whatever it is it's clearly a water elemental dragon.

At this point it's established that there are several dragons in Gensokyo. Suiryuu could easily be A dragon instead of THE dragon.

Yeah, there's Kasen's buddy as well as Sir Evil Dragon. "Dragon" is just a category of youkai. Awesomely powerful forces of nature, but still generic.

Generic in the same way "mountains" or "tsunamis" are generic.

, Holy crap, that's freakin' awesome! More new characters/creatures are always good.

So we now have the Dragon God (location still completely unclear to me, Moon, ocean, Heaven, all of those...?); the evil dragon freed by Marisa (location... hmmm, well not Gensokyo, I think... some kind of Heaven); Kasen's dragon (location: probably some Heaven, too? also can be called by Kasen) and now Suiryuu (location: Gensokyo itself? Misty Lake?). Dragons now certainly qualify as a species with multiple individuals. Cool. Better than the kappa .

Rather than tearing, i would think that cutting it near the spine (With a boxcutter or razor or something) or dipping the spine in something that dissolves the glue that binds the pages would be cleanest.

Also magazines aren't books so its ok to dissect them.

I'm imagining that Kyouko is helplessly echoing every line in the movie, and she's panicking because Ichirin is shushing her but she's all "ohmygodIcan'tstopaaaaahhh".

Also of humorous note: Ichirin hushing Unzan of all people, Mamizou nodding off (and still wearing spectacles for some reason), and... I don't know what's going on with Nazrin? Maybe because both of her eyes are already red she can't see through the blue one so she's screwed?

That is also not how vision works. Because you don't see through the iris.

My theory is that Nazrin just hates the movie.

Or Nazrin could be annoyed by Kyouko's excitement.

How do I make "you don't bother us, so we don't bother you" sound like a threat? The Japanese contains a "we're doing you a favor" sort of phrasing.

Hmm... I think that might be too overt, but I'll consider it.

It seems like Ichirin and Unzan are both hushing Kyouko, while Nazrin is annoyed at Kyouko. Like what this one comment on danbooru said:

Maybe Kogasa just doesn't see the appeal in 3D glasses and is just trying to enjoy the movie?
