Trip-Hop & Downtempo:

I liked the Live Human album a lot. Not really what I think of when I think of downtempo, but it is of course jazzy and a little trippy. "Lost World" sort of made me think of Brian Eno and David Byrne's My Life In The Bush of Ghosts.

Sorry about me taking so long to provide links to Force of Nature, but yeah heres their Last FM Page:

Although labelled as a hip hop productio duo, a lot of their stuff samples and draws from downtempo and electronic styles of music.

So who likes Wagon Christ?

I love the one track I have (Shadows). That album is definitely on my figurative list.

Slightly surprised no-one has mentioned The Album Leaf here, I've noticed posts about him in other threads.

...is out to lunch.
The Pervert King
So, had anyone else heard the news that Skye Edwards is back with Morcheeba? I'm a bit giddy over it, though the magic from the first 3 albums(I mean "Charango", not "Fragments of Freedom") might not be able to be recaptured. I'm getting ready to listen to the new album, "Blood Like Lemonade" and I'm a bit apprehensive, particularly after the last album I was really looking forward to, Unkle's "Where Did The Night Fall" turned out to be a total let down.

Edit:Halfway through "Blood Like Lemonade", and to describe my actual reaction would be obscene. To sum up, the magic's back on.

Sometimes the question is not, "Am I being misanthropic?" but rather, "Am I being misanthropic enough?"

Mezzanine sounds pretty nice. I like "The Dissolved Girl", I think it's called.
Jackass Detector
Can I get a few recommendations? I have albums by Unkle, Portishead, Zero 7 and Aim and if instrumental hip-hop crossovers count, DJ Krush, DJ Shadow, and Nujabes.

Nightmares on Wax is good, maybe some early Tortoise though they trend more towards jazz with their later albums.

The system doesn't know you right now, so no post button for you.
You need to Get Known to get one of those.
