And, time to not care who wins. Poor Jasmine.
Although I will enjoy Sugar losing next episode, as she almost certainly will unless she's secretly a super-gymnast or something.
Hah, yeah... Nevermind what I said about Sugar, with my track record it will probably end up being true.

What happened to Jasmine?
EDIT: Never mind.
Its like 'Scarlet Fever' was made to vindicate you.

Everything is Possible. But some things are more Probable than others. JEBAGEDDON 2016Enjoying this season a lot more than All Stars so far, and better than Revenge of the Island too actually.
I like Sky but I think there would have been more emotional heft if Sammy had been here instead. They're both nice likable girls but getting this far would have meant more for the gal whose confidence has been crushed to dust by her own sister for sixteen years.
I'm rooting for the money to get dropped in another volcano this season.
Text I feel is necessary to append to every post.Hype up, people. The final battle is at hand.
And, no more Sugar! Huzzar!
EDIT: And we have a WINNER!

Yep, I'm still here....And it's...?
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatWell then. Shawn and Jasmine split it.
Sky REALLY needs to learn how to communicate. The whole " forgot to breakup with yo BF before the competition" was a pretty dumb move.
Live your life.Good news for human decency, bad new for shippers, then.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatWouldn't be Total Drama without rash Character Derailment.
Man Chris trolled the finalists but good. that was great. especially when he mocked them in the confessional.
Don't think I'd agree about the "rash Character Derailment". Dave's whiny nature dates back to the first episode and he came across as bitter and creepy at times in his final episode. His flaws were always there even if they didn't seem quite this ugly before.
The whole, I'm going to let them die just so I can win the money was a massive stretch though.
Skye even lampshades it with the "You used to be smarter."

Overall I liked this season (despite its flaws). I'd say it was my third favorite season after Island and World Tour.
I did feel that Dave & Sky's relationship got mangled in the last episode. Did Sky really like Dave? I know she said she did, but it felt like she only kissed him so he would work with her.
And were we supposed to sympathize with Dave? I can't decide if the ending was meant to be a Kick the Dog moment or a Kick The Son Of A Bitch moment?

Everything is Possible. But some things are more Probable than others. JEBAGEDDON 2016Dave pretty much embodied the "Nice Guy" in that last episode, so I don't think we're supposed to feel sorry for him. He brought it on himself by thinking he was entitled to Sky just because he was nice to her.

Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatDave embodied the "Nice Guy" the entire series and I feel like the finale is just the culmination of it all.
Improving as an author, one video at a time.I agree that it was my favorite season after Island and World Tour.
I thought Scarlett's villainy was handled really well. I loved Amy and Samey's relationship because they reminded me of a certain father/son pair from the '90s I can't get enough of. I thought Rodney was a really interesting concept for the character and I wish they did more with him. Jasmine and Samey are my favorite new characters this season.
Like, if Skye had kissed Dave earlier on and then went along being the Master of the Mixed Message, I'd find Dave sympathetic but yeah, he pretty much hit every stereotype of the "nice guy."
I guess in that sense, the Flanderization in the last episode made sense.

What made his breakdown feel legit to me was due to Sky's constant baiting. That mixed with the truth must have hurt.

Live your life.I dunno though, you'd think she'd mention at some point that she has a boyfriend since she kept trying to discourage him previously.
I've got to to agree. Skye is not entirely innocent here- that kiss in last episode probably counts as emotional manipulation. I would say that Dave reaction was overblown but besides that justified.
I would call this season worse than Return of the Island, I felt that 2th generation cast was much better. Brick, Dawn, Lightning... With characters like Beardo, Leonard, Rhodney, Ella, I feel they're running out of ideas (Although I did warmed up to last one). Whats even Sky's personality? She feels like poor mix of Zoey and Jasmine(one of few good ones).
Not impressed with Scarlett either. She was stuck too long in stupid villain - smart sidekick routine that was getting less interesting with each episode. Maybe if her time was actual villain was a little longer.
Agreed 100% on Scarlett. I feel like she should have been full villain for at least two episodes.
Overall, the season was so-so to me. Not the best, but certainly not the worst. Maybe my third favorite.
I don’t even know anymore.Just watched the finale. Some points:
- Regarding Dave's Breakdown. I think He was a Decoy Protagonist on downward spiral and that id he and Sky were to return there would be some repercussions
- As This is a tv show (even in universe) odds are that Keith would wouldn't take so kindly to Dave. in fact I think Sky may had landed herself in the center of a gender inverted Yandere Love Triangle.
- Dave's sanity slippage would probably make him more deadly in future appearances as he let his thirst for vengeance consume him and he becomes more dangerous and unhinged as a result
- I think that Shawn may be an inversion to a previous character, specifically the zombie like formerly beanie wearing Ezekiel. With Zeke being a retroactive foil to Shaun.
- One has zombie like traits, the other's a zombie conspiracy nut
- One is a Misogynist, the other grew to like women (well one women) to the point where he was willing to split the money (something he stated he won;t do until his own (likely offscreen) My God, What Have I Done? moment
- I definitely think both Dave and Sky had it coming. Sky should have come clean about the boyfriend thing (and potentially dumping said boyfriend) from the start, but the way Dave handled takes him from a genuine Nice Guy to a more stereotypical "nice guy". Come to think of it I think like Shawn, Dave is an inversion of a past character (and one from the same generation to boot): Cody.
- Both men Did Not Get the Girl. However Cody almsot became a Determinator in the respect that didn't give up trying to woo Gwen (helps that she and Trent broke up by Action) and then eventually have his own stalker (details are a little sketchy but I think they might have become at least good friends after WT)
That reminds me, what happened to the 1st and 2nd generation characters?

I'm not sure Dave fits the definition. "Nice Guy" - mad that girl friend-zoned him. Dave - mad that girl manipulated him. You're not a nice guy if girl is actively using your crush to her advantage, or as one article put it "But If We Started Dating It Would Ruin Our Friendship Where I Ask You To Do Things And You Do Them". When it was made clear that Sky didn't like him, Dave voted himself off. Just because he's crying about rejection doesn't make him "entitled".

I assume they finally got over this and moved on with their lives. Or the Ridonculous Race takes place at the same time.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the Great
It doesn't make sense for a reality TV show to be run by a good person. Good people don't try to get others to backstab each other on camera for ratings.
I agree that the show needs more Chef.
