I approve.
Incidentally I was just reading about the SCP Foundation in the High Octane Nightmare Fuel pages.
This website is so horrible and amazing that I had to go and make an article for it.
If we get a few more tropers hooked on this site, I think it could easily earn a place on Trope Overdosed.

I didn't write any of that. Why has no one showed me this website before?
life is the sleep of no dreaming; stories allow us to dream againWhile this looks seriously cool, it also looks seriously...big. Where's a newbie to start to get a good taste of what this whole dealie is about?
https://angelskingsandweirdos.com ''Where imagination takes wing... and then gets sucked into a jet turbine."I don't get the joke. Is this some sort of Big-Brother joke?
About the SCP Organization is a good introduction to what the SCP Foundation is all about.
SCP-173 was the item that started it all.
This page is the index of SCP Objects. These files are the backbone of the whole thing. I've been working my way down the list and I'm in the 300's now.

I didn't write any of that.Okay, could I get an out-of-character description?
Damn you people! I was up until 3 AM reading this stuff last night! Like I really needed another website that eats my spare time like a black hole. *shakes fist*
https://angelskingsandweirdos.com ''Where imagination takes wing... and then gets sucked into a jet turbine."There's some very cool stuff here, but Sturgeon's Law bites it hard. The pages that are actually worth reading are maybe a couple percent of the total. And even a lot of those start to lose their luster after you stare at them for a while, either because they're derivative in subtle ways or because it becomes obvious that they're some kind of wish-fulfillment exercise.
Call me a killjoy, but there it is.

I will keep my soul in a place out of sight, Far off, where the pulse of it is not heard.Wish fulfillment how exactly? O_o
Wish fulfillment in the sense that any Mary Sue is wish fulfillment. Quite a few entries seem designed to be as dangerous or as badass as possible; some of them do it reasonably well, but more come off as the kind of monster a fourteen-year-old might doodle in the margins of his math notebook and make up a backstory for over lunch.
There's also wish-fulfillment of a more obvious kind; for example, I remember seeing more than one description of a cute, nerdy girl with superpowers.
I will keep my soul in a place out of sight, Far off, where the pulse of it is not heard. Some of them seem like definite Mary Sues. Many of these are so awesome that it doesn't bother me.
Welcome To TV Tropes | How To Write An Example | Text-Formatting Rules | List Of Shows That Need Summary | TV Tropes Forum | Know The Staff@ Nornagest: From reading a bit of the forums and discussion pages, a bunch of the admins and regulars agree with that assessment and are trying to do something about it. For example, there seems to be a consensus that SCP-076-2 is the Mary Sue cutoff point: Any new SCP Objects deemed more Suetiful than 076 are decomissioned or terminated.

I didn't write any of that. That's funny. I can never remember the numbers, but SCP-076-2 is precisely the one I was thinking of in terms of being just awesome enough.
That said, the insult box is also awesome, in its own way.
Welcome To TV Tropes | How To Write An Example | Text-Formatting Rules | List Of Shows That Need Summary | TV Tropes Forum | Know The StaffAlso, why does SCP 076-2 remind me of Highlander?
From SCP-000:
"A 30.48cm (12in) SCP-076-2 action figure, with interchangeable wardrobe, accessories, and carrying case shaped like SCP-072-1."
I WANT ONE!
So, how long has this site been around? Was SCP-173 created after the similar Doctor Who alien, or does it predate it?

@Meta Four (re: trying to do something about it): Good for them, then. I read through it a few months ago; things may or may not have changed since then, but I have little desire to get sucked into another wiki.
076-2 is the Abel one, right?

I will keep my soul in a place out of sight, Far off, where the pulse of it is not heard.
Would there be any interest in a trope page for the SCP Foundation?
It's mentioned in several places on TV Tropes and it's very cool and full of Nightmare Fuel.
Thoughts?
