As soon as Hahli entered the lefthand portal, she found herself encased in darkness. She spun, choking on the all-encompassing shadows as he tried to get out- she was suffocating, smothered in darkness, furiously thrashing around. Was this it?
she wondered to herself. Was this how she would die?
The Tantive IV
shuddered again as the turbolaser fire of the Star Destroyer slams into its aft engines. Inside, the atmosphere was tense-soldiers equipped with pistols running back and forth, as a handful of droids hurried to escape the inevitable firefight that will ensue
. A second blast rocks the ship, and the humanoid golden one raises his hands in defeeat. "Do you hear that?" he said to his shorter, treaded compatriot, who whistled and beeped in response.
"They've shut down the main reactor!" he exclaimed in horror. "We'll be destroyed for sure. This is madness!" His companion chirped something again in his untranslatable machine-language.
"We're doomed," said the golden one. "There'll be no escape for the Princess this time."
The atmosphere in the ship was tense- soldiers took up firing positions in front of an airlock door.
A brief pulse and rush of air. Hahli stepped out of the shadows and analyzed her new surroundings. She was in a series of blindingly white hallways. Soldiers rushed around her, hurrying to defend this place. A being was now walking up to her in an awkward, jerky way- he looked rather like a golden Toa.
"Oh, mistress Hahli!" he exclaimed in relief. "They've just shut down the main reactor, and I'm afraid that they'll be boarding any moment now. Please do try and help out our-" he was cut off as his smaller compatriot rushed off elsewhere.
"Oh!" he cried in dismay. "Oh dear, Artoo!" he called hurrying off after the smaller being.
Hahli thought to herself with some dismay, this is a fight now, is it?
Hefting her Cordak blaster over her shoulder, she squatted in front of the door with the other soldiers, none of which seemed to notice her odd appearance. Whatever was coming through that door,
she thought to herself, I'll show it the true power of a Toa.
