There are some things that I can understand when this is used (like the Dragon Ball Z page stated that the show is the MTE of Power Makes Your Hair Grow), but it's sort of irritating that it's thrown across pages. For instance, I saw that someone threw an MTE on Gurren Lagann's Awesomeness Is Volatile despite it not having anything of the sort that I could remember.
Also, if I may add to the repairing load: There are a lot of MT Es without signatures. If we have highly subjective pages like Dethroning Moment Of Suck needing signatures, shouldn't we need the same for this? And what about those with Unknown Troper sigs?
Also, there are tropes that have long since been renamed (say, You Suck to This Loser Is You). Shouldn't these be merged and replaced with a message to editors that redirects them?
Sorry if this seems like I'm hijacking DQZ's thread. I'm just explaining some concerns.

Well, this thread reminded me, so I cleaned up the wicks for SugarWiki. Most Triumphant Example. Wicks for the redirect are still all over the place, of course.
If you see this trope linked to in an article, go ahead and remove the link.

Rhymes with "Protracted."It need not allways be gushing. Dragonball Z being a Most Triumphant Example of Arc Fatigue for instance.
Still mostly subjective though.
I second the OP's sentiments. Too many of these examples are unfamiliar to The Everyman or non-otakus. I know lots of tropers have watched Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann but honestly, most of the examples from Anime reek of Fan Myopia.
I TELL YOU HWAT!I think there also needs to be cleanup of the pages for Most Triumphant Example. Like with Crowning Moment Of Awesome, the name implies there being a singular one.
For example, just looking at the page for Most Triumphant Example/A tropes, Abusive Parents has 11 examples (including Firelord Ozai, who, while he hurt his son in a duel once and has been a jerk, probably shouldn't be the most triumphant example). Action Girl has 14, and many others have more than one example.
In short, cleanup is needed. Perhaps make it required that the Most Triumphant Example needs a description for why it is the most triumphant instead of the pages being a list of names of characters and shows? Make there some method of getting a consensus and labeling others as "runner ups?" Change the name to just Triumphant Example, as seen with the likes of Crowning Moment Of Awesome?
Your just asking for another fight like Moment Of Awesome.. (the Sugar Wiki Icon thing being kicked around in the tech shop forum though would go along way though)
Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!"For example, just looking at the page for Most Triumphant Example/A tropes, Abusive Parents has 11 examples (including Firelord Ozai, who, while he hurt his son in a duel once and has been a jerk, probably shouldn't be the most triumphant example). Action Girl has 14, and many others have more than one example."
The page always allowed multiple entries. It's asking what a troper personally thinks is the best example of any trope. Just any unsigned ones should be taken out.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.Maybe it could be required to explain why someone thinks something is a Most Triumphant Example? That would at least make people think more before just slapping on a name, and wouldn't violate the subjective nature of it.
No, because almost always when someone says something is "OMG the ultimate Most Triumphant Example EVER!!!", it actually just isn't; it's just another straight example among many, that they happen to like.
I would like to see Main. Most Triumphant Example get the same redirect-redlink treatment as Wall Banger and So Bad It's Horrible.

Rhymes with "Protracted."Me also.
YES! Finally, someone else seems to view gushing and complaining as equally bad.
We shouldn't cut it unless we cut some of the complaining outlets on the Darth Wiki with it, though. Link cutting should do fine.
Never mind the above, link cutting was all that was proposed. I misread.

Me, as well.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.Maybe treating this a bit like Dethroning Moment Of Suck would work. Yes, I realise that they're on completely opposite sides of the spectrum, but the idea of each troper gets one most triumphant example per trope and has to sign for it would be a way to keep the title accurate.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickWe aren't discussing the page itself. And it already does those things anyway.

I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.Oh- I thought we were talking about the page being crowded, hence my previous suggestion. My bad.
I agree with giving it the Wall Banger/So Bad It's Horrible link treatment. There's really no reason to link to it on a page anyway, aside from maybe on Bill and Ted since it's the Trope Namer.
1683 wicks!!
This ain't gonna be easy.
Make your hearth shine through the darkest night; let it transform hate into kindness, evil into justice, and loneliness into love.We can do it if we all work on it. Lets go!
Let's take it to special efforts, where everyone will see it.
Special Efforts thread is made. We can lock this.
When I first wrote up Most Triumphant Example, I knew it would be subjective. But I really should have noted that it should not be in main wiki pages, as putting it on one of those is stating an opinion. Now the thing is all over the place, and in ways that don't really inform any of the pages they are on. They are just a way to shoehorn Gushing About Shows You Like onto pages.
If it comes down to it, I'll work on deleting examples myself, but I would like to discuss other options here, including some drastic measures if need be.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.
