[up] Or maybe it's just what you have to do once they know too much. Or go for their pension.

I'm back, baby.
[up] If you're suggesting that the people they are executing aren't necessarily criminals, then sure.

Scum
Personally, I question the decision to send somebody back to themselves like that, but I can think of few possible ways of explaining that, so.
"Canada Day is over, and now begins the endless dark of the Canada Night."

One of us should actually see the movie.
Any idiot knows Freud was a Star Trek fan and Star Wars invented The Hero, right?
655 Eagal, Thu, 4th Oct '12 9:54:11 PM from This is a location. Relationship Status: Waiting for Prince Charming
This is a title.
At the very least they shoulda put a bag over his head so he doesn't realize that he's himself until it's too late. Might be explained in the movie, I haven't seen it.
The madness is catching.

Okay yeah that plot makes absolutely no sense to me.

The thing is, if you kill your future self, you're still killing yourself, but not a you that is yet. If you go through with it, you always know you're going to die; but if you don't go through with it, then you always know that you're going to live.

Unless you go with the theory that time is like a tree, with alternate futures sprouting off all the time. Then you're just killing an alternate version of your future self.

Per The Other Wiki:

In 2044, the United States has suffered economic collapse, causing severe social decay and growth in organized crime. In addition, a mutation has occurred in ten percent of the population giving them telekinetic powers—the ability to levitate small objects. Thirty years further into the future in 2074, time travel is invented, but is immediately outlawed. Tracking technology has rendered it nearly impossible to dispose of bodies secretly, so crime bosses use illicit time travel to send those they want killed to the past where they are killed by "loopers": assassins paid with silver bars strapped to the victim. When crime bosses want to end a looper's contract, they send his future self back to be killed by his younger self, referred to as "closing the loop". Failing a contract is a death sentence.

So basically, !past.self is an assassin. !Future.self made someone mad and gets sent back to be a victim. !future has to convince !Past that he is himself, before !Past commits technical suicide.

This actually interests me now.
Plus, y'know, Bruce Willis, so I'm destined to see it eventually anyway. (Wifey loves him to bits)

Not so much "made someone mad" as "we're done using this guy", judging by the description.
I have a message from another time...

Perhaps, but as I'm now interested, I stopped reading.

That's... an awful lot of dedication to a pretty crappy idea for a costume. Why doesn't he just stitch a few dirty sheets together and call it a day?

A) he might not know how to sew, and B) that would be a fuck-ton of sheets.

Screw the King.
[up] C) Mr Fish just tear the costume off.

As strong as he is, he can't take off those small ghost. Unless he rack it off using walls or floors.

Well, if it's paper, then water could work, but what if Jared planned ahead and used plastic and waterproof glue?

Not Actually Indie
It raises the question of how he's planning to get them off again.
...eventually, we will reach a maximum entropy state where nobody has their own socks or underwear, or knows who to ask to get them back.

That is the kind of thing we'll probably get a page about, where Jared planned everything except that.
