I tried to link to a specific XKCD comic, but somehow it did not work. When I get a better idea I will re-do my signature.
Also, being sober enough to understand the button clicky thing will probably help with such endeavors.
If I were to write some of the strange things that come under my eyes they would not be believed.

"Give the world the best you have and you will get kicked in the teeth. Give the world the best you have anyway."
It's the Tenth Paradoxical Commandment from the Knight in Sour Armor page. I used to have the commandments posted in my cubicle at work.
Give the world the best you have and you will get kicked in the teeth. Give the world the best you have anyway.
There was a thread in OTC about the future colonization of the Moon, and eventually all this drama was happening regarding the moral and legal implications, who owned the Moon technically, whether "colonization" was ethical et cetera... And when the fighting got out of hand (i.e. both sides basically stating the same points over and over again), Madrugada stepped in and locked it, basically settling the argument with the bottom quote. I thought, in or out of context, that it was hilarious.

When life is holding you hostage, is it any wonder you develop Stockholm Syndrome? - Malchus
It's a German children's song that I found quite amusing when I was there. The full rhyme is:
Auf der Mauer, auf der Lauer Sitzt 'ne kleine Wanze Auf der Mauer, auf der Lauer Sitzt 'ne kleine Wanze Seht euch nur die Wanze an, Wie die Wanze tanzen kann Auf der Mauer, auf der Lauer Sitzt 'ne kleine Wanze.
It's singing about a bug dancing on top of a lookout tower. When you sing it, you shorten "Wanze" and "tanzen" each time, so by the end of it the line is Seht euch nur die W an, wie die W t kann.
