I can't wait.
This and District 9 are going to set the new standard for modern sci-fi.
I've got two guns pointed west and a broken compass. It says I require quick-time, even though I already have it. <.<
Since I first heard of this movie I've wanted to see it. More than The Last Airbender. It also seems like almost everyone I've talked to have heard of this movie who aren't interested aren't for the same reason as Ironeye, which frankly I find unfair. It's either that or it's because of the Sci Fi Ghetto.
Oh, but the trailer is awesome.

"I can't imagine what Hell will have in store, but I know when I'm there, I won't wander anymore."Oh yeah, that looks good.
What's the frequency Kenneth?|In case of war.Got the trailer to work. This is looking quite good. I'll have to wait till Rotten Tomatoes gives me the general idea of what the movies like, but I'll probably be seeing it when it comes out.
Got a laugh from Zack Whedon's * tweet on the trailer:
From what I heard somewhere, it's not the action movie the trailer makes it out to be. I'm not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing. On the one hand, I feel like it could be a way to make it a harder science fiction movie, which honestly I would love to see, but on the other hand the movie looks too mystical to be a hard science fiction but then this is just a trailer, and we all know those lie...
I think I might be putting too much thought into this.
"I can't imagine what Hell will have in store, but I know when I'm there, I won't wander anymore."Yeah, the aliens do look a bit cute.
What's the frequency Kenneth?|In case of war.The big noses kind of put that off a bit. For me at least.
If Cameron or his marketers put out plushies of the aliens, I think I'd buy one. Or two.
"I can't imagine what Hell will have in store, but I know when I'm there, I won't wander anymore."No way in Hell I'll be skipping it, one way or the other. The trailer definitely gives the impression of major eye-candy-o-rama.
Goal: Clear, Concise and WittyI really want to see it, but I fear that none of my friends will want to go and if they don't I can't.
EDIT: Thinking ahead: How are we going to treat the article for this? I mean, doesn't the Avatar article we have now link to the show?

"I can't imagine what Hell will have in store, but I know when I'm there, I won't wander anymore."Make it James Cameron's Avatar, perhaps?
Maybe we'll have to make Avatar a disambiguation page.
- For the TV series, see Avatar The Last Airbender.
- For James Cameron's 2009 film, see Avatar.
Looks TERRIBLE for something that's taken what, 13 years since he first came up with it and has a budget of 237 million dollars. This is the film that's supposed to innovate and revive sci fi cinema? It's halo meets Ferngully with dodgy CGI work that would've been revolutionary pre-star wars prequel trilogy. I mean, god, District 9's aliens are more convincing than the blue cat people.
When in deadly danger, when beset by doubt, run in little circles, wave your arms and shout. It seems like James Cameron has been talking about this film forever.
Nice CG, but not anything really groundbreaking, especially given the budget. It looks really pretty, though. And I seem to have gotten a pretty clear picture of the plot from that trailer, time will see if it just spoiled me or lied.

Waiting on a TRS slot? Finishing off one of these cleaning efforts will usually open one up.I just watched the trailer. It looks like a good game, is it on the X-Box?
Sex, Drugs, and RationalityIs that a joke I'm too thick to understand? <.<
He's saying it looks like it's a video game. Which isn't that baseless really.
What's the frequency Kenneth?|In case of war.It looks like a shiny new game that runs on the latest hardware. Looks kinda fun too.
Sex, Drugs, and RationalityShiny graphics, but it doesn't look a lot different than what I've already seen from sci-fi movies.
On the other hand, it'd make for a great snark outing from the Pacific Trope Krew.
Am I the only one who's a little... iffy about the design of the aliens? I think all that beutiful scenery might be located in the Uncanny Valley...
I'll admit that I was biased against this film because of the title dispute with the other Avatar (you know, the one about the Last Airbender). Then I saw the trailer. My jaw literally dropped. I hope this movie is every bit as awesome as the trailer makes it look.
Anyway, here's our our forum thread for discussing the movie. Does anyone else have any thoughts?

I'm bad, and that's good. I will never be good, and that's not bad. There's no one I'd rather be than me.
