Well that was a nice look into Grass Finn's sort-of origin...origin.
But it seems like he's goin' on a bit of a self-discovery trip. Being made of grass is meat-buns and it totally showed.

I liked the premiere! It had humor in it, and I actually laughed a bit. I guess AT hasn't been that funny to me lately. I didn't have super high expectations after Preboot/Reboot but I enjoyed these episodes. Fern's luscious grass locks were pretty. And I enjoyed all the callbacks, like Finn Cakes and Doctor Princess (I missed her!) Doctor Princess wore some heart shaped glasses, just like one of my characters :)

Jake was a bit of an ass though. I feel bad for his pups though its nice that KKW's relationship with his kid is postive & they patched things up.

Hey I watched the last 3 episodes live yesterday and Monday and figured I should show up here again.
Hopefully this last episode is leading up to the character development Jake desperately needs. It's season 8 and he's a grandfather now, guy needs to learn to be more serious and responsible.
Also the one-off comment about 16 year old Finn being "old" makes me wonder what the average rate of aging is among Ooo creatures.
Also why does it seem that every episode these days opens up a brand new plot thread without addressing any of the old ones? Patience St. Pim is still out there. So is the Music Hole, and Finn wouldn't be Finn if he left her still unable to be heard. And like what's happening with the Fire Kingdom? And then there's all the other plot lines currently open. And now there's grass Finn just riding into the sunset without a resolution yet. What is being led up to with these 4 billion plot lines currently open?

This is something that a lot of people have been criticizing Adventure Time for during the past few seasons, and a reason why I'm kind of scared about the ending being crap. According to the episode descriptions, there's something about Bubblegum's element powers that's gonna be showing up, so they're definitely picking back up on it, but the show's bizarre kudzu plotting has been frustrating and turning off a good deal of people since at least Season 5.
