I remember to have discussed something about their courting rituals as to what methods would the males use to attract the females. Also at some point discussed the overall structure of their migratory patterns. I guess I could also go and do some TCG research for them, since as Tangent mentioned once the TCG makes them into The Medic of the Pokédex.

Do think it would be possible for Tropius to have different neck fruits depending on the area they live and thus have slightly different anatomies and body types to adapt whatever environment they live in?

For example, tropical Tropius would eat bananas and live in areas where it is ideal to grow bananas, while there would be Tropius who live in areas similar to New England and Northeast America and they instead eat apples.

[up] Only problem with that is that Tropius in both Hoenn and Sinnoh have the same fruit while the regions have completely different climates.

[up]That probably because of laziness due to not wanting to mess with the original design and because the developers did not REALLY expect the fans to think to deeply into it.

[up][up] That may be the meta reason for it, but in-game they're still the exact same. Maybe they were originally brought from Hoenn to Sinnoh, but other variants can be found in other places?

[up]...And from Hoenn to Unova? Unlikely. Game sprites do not represent reality with that high fidelity — there is such things as the limitations of the viewer interface.

or we could just say that Tropius with that particular set of fruit is The Coconut Effect in universe. Tropius in media always have that fruit setup, so most people in universe think all Tropius have that fruit setup.

...now I'm thinking it's actually a different trope I'm looking for.

[up][up] BP Says route 14. Still, not implausible that there are Tropius somewhere nearby.

[up] It is the correct trope, The Coconut Effect, as it is the effect on the fictional work. Perhaps you were confused with The CSI Effect, the effect in real life.

[up] Hmm, I forgot about those. I'll go with Coconut Effect then.

This probably won't be the case, but couldn't it be possible that the fruit growth caused by eating fruit is a mythological story from the past? Just putting it out there.

Current article has them able to symbiotically support fruit plants grown from seeds they collect from enjoyed fruit. Which is similar to the legends, but hopefully makes more biological sense...

The Permanently Confused
Hate to interrupt, but I was reading the article on the Abra line, and I noticed something a bit odd. Alakazam is said to be too weak to support its own body weight outside of using psychic powers, with the example of its neck potentially snapping under the weight of its head. Wouldn't this mean that knocking an Alakazam unconscious would/could kill it? I didn't see any mention of that risk in the article, so I thought I'd ask here.
[up]Haven't read the article, but if Alakazam(s) use psychic power to lift themsleves maybe the soften blows to the head/neck area with psychic powers too.

[up][up]well, it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to say that the area of its brain that psychically supports itself is the same part of the brain that controls other unconscious activities like breathing. So even if it was knocked unconscious, those particular psychic powers would still be functional.

Here I'm requesting to Locoman or Waxing Name the wikisources of the Oshawott or Zangoose articles, respectively, for pasting wiki-side. Also will send you a PM later, I guess.

Luke924 was so nice to help me write a description for Feraligatr and I managed to add some remaining bits for Hazards and battle technique. All I need now is to check the whole Starter controversy and the revision should be ready.

No advancements on Nidoran v5.

The Permanently Confused
[up][up]Perhaps. Might be worth adding a line in the article about that. I'm not really a contributor, though, so I guess I'll leave it up to you all to decide.
