Just a thought, should we not make the articles for the Tao Trio until after the third version comes out?

Well, seeing as everyone's jumping on the bandwagon and saying that Kyurem's the third member of the trio even though there's no confirmation for it whatsoever (outside of sharing the same battle music and having similar typing) I'd wait until the third version just to see if it is or is not related.

I, personally, am neutral toward this argument, though I do wish that Kyurem would eat N like its myth said.
It's Mallow, not shallow.

Let me rephrase that then.

I do not like N.

I want Kyurem to eat N.

You haven't even played the game yet, Jane. You play the game first, then form opinions about characters.

Anom is right. Perhaps after you play it you'll change your opinion.

Anyone have any ideas on what hazards a Luvdisc would serve? Oh, and definitely putting a reference to Alomomola in the article.

I'd say none. I'd make it a peaceful, herbivorous Pokemon that poses no danger to humans, and instead interacts in a positive manner.

All right then. Say was there any Pokemon that had no hazards listed here?

Cherubi and Cherrim are pretty much harmless if you don't attack them.

Luvdisc I'd imagine would sooner turn tail and swim away than try to fight (Except as a friendly Pokemon battle, of course).

Also, suppose Luvdisc and Alomomola happened to turn out that they were actually related? (This is just an example. It can happen with any other Pokemon.) Would the articles have to be merged?

I meant as in, evolution related. (i.e. some mon or evolution method is introduced linking those two or other mons together.)

Your army sucks.
Maybe say that they're biologically very close but no "linking" Pokemon has been discovered. So they are categorized as unrelated species.
Sorry, I can't hear you from my FLYING METAL BOX!

Sunkern evolves into Sunflora, so that doesn't really count. Since Luvdisc doesn't have an evo at all, I'd think that puts it at the lowest of the low.

... Why does it exist, anyway?

I finished the Luvdisc article!

[[quoteright:200px:]]

Luvdisc Line

Morphs [Oak Catalog #]

  • Luvdisc [370] Aquarius Cardium

Luvdisc earned their name when they were first discovered by a young couple. Luvdisc do not have any evolutions, however, when foreigners discovered Alomomola, * it was briefly thought the two were related. This was proven false. While the two indeed look similar, there has yet to be a evolutionary link discovered between the two.

Notable Biology

Luvdisc are rather small Pokemon. They are pink with no limbs at all with white cheeks. One of the most noticeable attributes about them, is that they are shaped like a heart. They are coated in Heart Scales which are coveted by collectors and certain trainers. Occasionally when faced with a predator, they will shed their scales to distract them as they make their escape.

They can harness the power of the rain for their own purposes, such as increasing their speed when swimming, or heal certain injuries with the help of the rain.

Because of their heart shape, it was associated with love, and it was customary for people to catch a Luvdisc in the Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh regions, and give them as a gift to their lovers, especially on Valentine's day. One myth that was associated with them, is that if any couple sees a school of Luvdisc, they will be blessed with eternal love. This has been proven false through various sources. They swim using the protrusions at their back, and fluttering along the sea.

Habitat

They mainly live in the ocean, living in the branches of Corsola and various reefs. Occasionally, they'll surface and briefly rest on top of the ocean.

Diet

They are filter feeders, so feed off of various microbes in the ocean such as food particles. The also feed on algae and various kinds of seaweed.

Hazards

Luvdisc are one of the few Pokemon that barely have any hazards associated with them, as they are peaceful Pokemon, and prefer to flee in the cases of conflict, but they will attempt to confuse their attackers if forced to. However, they do not mind a friendly battle and will gladly participate in them.

Courting and Childrearing

Mating is done mainly in Spring, when it is raining. Even though they are peaceful, they are very competitive over mates. The mating ritual is done through a jumping competition. Luvdisc see who can jump the highest out of the water in order to attract mates. Once a Luvdisc is impressed by another Luvdisc's jumping ability, it will go over to that Luvdisc and kiss it. Once they kiss, they flutter like wings in the water, eventually releasing eggs and sperm. The fluttering forces the sperm and eggs to collide, fertilizing the eggs. Once the eggs hatch, the parents take care of the offspring until they are old enough to swim by themselves, which roughly takes about 6 weeks.

Social Structure

Luvdisc typically travel in large schools. The colony generally travels together, especially in rainy weather. Though occasionally some Luvdisc will leave the group and form their own colony.
This is my first article. So what do you think? I know that some entries are lacking in information.
