Didn't KHII say they get a power boost when they become nobodies?
Sounds quite a lot like 2nd phase Oogie Boogie from the first game.
"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyNot to my recollection no, I could be mistaken but it sounds like Common Knowledge.
@Scythes: Well, there is the war scythe, but it was modified from the original tool, much like kunai.
Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite.oh damn i've been forgetting to check this thread
i feel shame
i think i mostly want to see what happens when this whole place breaks apartBut the effects were different!
And no version of Terra or Xehanort or Eraqus had Xemnas's stuff!
Young Xehanort (as Mysterious Figure) had hand-held Laser Blades. And combat clones.

I have a message from another time...Also there's a lot about Xehanort's power that we don't know. What if the union of Terra, MX and Eraqus was what made Xemnas' powers? Xemnas already seems like he knows far too many things, it's not far fetched to assume that the amalgation of darkness and light and earth (no signs of earth powers in Xemnas tho?) whatever the hell else made some neutral, voidy, OP magic thing. Maybe apprentice Xehanort learned it during the year he was apprenticed to Ansem, who knows
[[I never realized how annoying recommended sections were on tumblr and youtube until I tried to avoid KH3 spoilers .-. ]]The lack of earth magic in ASOD or Xemnas is interesting, considering that not Xehanort and Terra had it.
I have a message from another time...Xemnas and Ansem have their whole obsessive personalities, their brain can only comprehend one element at a time
Well, Earth was Terra's thing. There's very few (only Quake, I think) Earth effects outside of him (Not counting Lexaeus who just smashes the ground). It makes sense that upon subsuming him, Xehanort wanted to get away from it.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Xemnas was so into keeping The Masquerade going he didn't bother with other abilities...Even though pulling them out would have up his chances. the only real laspe is him summoning his keyblade armor
I'm A Pervert not an Asshole! It wasn't just Terra's thing. I mean, just look at Master Xehanort, he of the instant plateau.

I have a message from another time...Simba has Earth magic in his limit break and Sora had quake in Chain of Memories but those are pretty isolated.
Its more fun if the Xehanort's have a few quirks in their fighting styles anyway its more diverse.

Well, from a meta perspective, yeah. Terra being the only one mostly using Earth stuff while the other Xehanort's each do their own thing is a good idea, but doesn't do well regarding in-universe explanations. Like Enlong said, Master Xehanort also had earth magic (at the very least, he's perfectly capable of causing the ground to rise...), but neither ASOD nor Xemnas seem to exploit that element at all. Although it's possible they just don't want to use it. Probably think it's boring and not cool enough.
[[I never realized how annoying recommended sections were on tumblr and youtube until I tried to avoid KH3 spoilers .-. ]]Ansem and Xemnas also have powers beyond Master Xehanort's, so I guess it pays to specialize. In their mind its probably why throw a rock when you can throw a laser.

Well, a rock has more physical mass than a laser, can break things that won't burn or be irradiated, and probably doesn't register to people who can "feel" magic or energy.
Also, throw a rock fast enough, and you've got a bullet.

I have a message from another time...Good news—I just remembered that a redo of the Roxas battle wouldn't work because the conflict that made that fight interesting (the right to exist) has been resolved.
I do want a rematch with Riku now, though.
please call me "XionKuriyama" or some variation, thanks! | What is the good deed that you can do right now?In fairness, Xemnas' skyscraper-fu accomplishes essentially the same thing as earth magic.
I was actually thinking about how throwing buildings was just Xemnas' version of earth magic. So instead of "why throw a rock when you can spam lasers?" It's more like "Why use dirt when you can use AN ENTIRE CITY"
Glad to know some things stay the same, I guess.
Who even built that city
Does anyone even live there?
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youNobody built that city.
Nobody lived there.
Not even the Organization.
I have a message from another time...
But magic isn't a big deal in Radiant Garden and Lea/Axel had 10 years to practice fire spells.
Braig had the same sort of magic as Xigbar so its reasonable to assume that the magic they wield isn't tied to being a Nobody.
