On all honesty, no one knows what to do with Thomas. I say that because I saw fan game projects trying to tackle that.

Growing up, it's like a civil war, don't turn away, it's something you can't ignore...ZX is considered to be difficult?
Honestly, I love a ZX3 that returned to the Metroidvania-esque gameplay of the first. Especially since ZXA ended on a major cliffhanger.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!ZX also had the incredibly awesome form change mechanic from Demon's Crest. The game itself seems to lift a lot from that game, actually.
As for the earlier post about the sales of the collection determining the future, that's not exactly what I'd call "evil publisher behavior". If a series is popular enough and sells well, that is what leads to another game. So I can't exactly fault Capcom, because that's just how business works. If the interest isn't high enough, then a new game isn't worth the risk of investment. Simple as that.
At the very least, Capcom has now seen that the series is worth investing into again, and thus, we get MM 11. I hope the X Collection also does well, so an X9 might happen as well.
Even so, I still think Capcom is making one heck of a Career Resurrection, between MM 11 and DMCV.
Now that you mentioned it, Devil May Cry didn't have a "market test", did it?

Growing up, it's like a civil war, don't turn away, it's something you can't ignore...The ultimate edition of DMC 4 with the playable characters from across the series was relatively recent, wasn't it?
DMC did have the Special Edition for 4, and they began working on five shortly after it was released, I'm guessing after seeing how well it sold. So this is nothing new to Capcom.
Speaking of which, the battle theme for 5 fits pretty well for Zero and/or Bass EXE:
Zero maybe but that's pushing it a bit. Yes, the song's awesome but you keep trying to fit a square peg in a round hole.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!@ZX difficulty. In general ZX is a bit easier than Zero (and many earlier Classic games). The only harder aspect is getting a high rank on boss fights in order to avoid grinding.
Where there's life, there's hope.Rock Man.EXE / Mega Man NT Warrior Episode 9:
After eight darned episodes, that strange yoga guy, his Navi Magic Man.EXE, mysterious rival Enzan / Chaud and his Navi Blues.EXE / Proto Man.EXE finally shows up.
However, the episode was a bit of a letdown. I mean, the battle against Magic Man.EXE was okay, and Maharajama (or something like that) was a promising bad guy but... Enzan and Blues.EXE weren't well introduced, although his cameo in the arcade hinted something big for him.
Despite looking like his namesake, Blues.EXE also reminded me of Zero due to his long hair and sword. And there's no traces of Aloof Big Brother (Original Rock Man and Blues are brothers in the original). Granted, he is a Composite Character but still...
I'm in expectation for more Enzan and Blues.EXE in the next episodes. As well as that... Maharajama guy and Magic Man.EXE.
Voice actor time:
- Magic Man.EXE's voice actor (Ron Halder) is Mesmero and Doc Toros.
- Enzan is voiced by Mitsuki Saiga, which also did rivals like Pokémon's Drew and Zoids: Chaotic Century's Raven. Speaking of Zoids, both Enzan's Japanese's and English's voice actor (Bill Switzer for the latter) voiced Jamie Hemeros/Wild Eagle.
- Blues.EXE is voiced by Masaya Matsukaze, aka Ryo Hazuki, Teru Mikami and Gaelio Balduin. His english VA David Kaye did Sesshomaru, and considering that Blues is Rock Man's Aloof Big Brother in the original series...
- There's also a Relationship Voice Actor here: Both Enzan and Blues.EXE are teammates in the Blitz Team, namely Jamie and Brad.
Edit:
Rock Man.EXE / Mega Man NT Warrior Episode 10:
After nine "standalone" episodes (more like "development" episodes to me), we finally entered the Tournament Arc of the series.
Albeit the start was so... terrible. I mean, I expected an episode involving the main characters' Net Navis training to the Net Battle Grand Prix.
But that's just the beginning (a terrible beginning BTW). I'm hoping that the next episodes will have loads and loads of battles.
I think that the Tournament Arc will be more than a "simple stock shonen contest" and more a "mysterious conspiracy arc contest". The World Three are also in the competition, and I'm guessing that they're going to create havoc, as expected. Meanwhile there's a strange faction which opposes World Three. It's formed by a mysterious guy, Saloma/Sal and Miyu. The mysterious guy is Masa, as they share the same face style.
But my great prediction for the Grand Prix is that Netto/Lan and Enzan/Chaud, alongside their Navis will be the final fight of the tournament. Given their rivalry vibes, it's not that surprising.
Good thing Dekao/Dex and Guts Man.EXE won their first Net Battle. As expected. Also dat Talking To Himself in the Ice Man.EXE vs Number Man.EXE fight (they're voiced by Samuel Vincent).
Edit:
Rock Man.EXE / Mega Man NT Warriors Episode 11:
The battle of Rock Man.EXE / Mega Man.EXE against Skull Man.EXE was awesome. I mean, Miyuki/Miyu was a good NET Battler.
Interesting that they mentioned Break Man.EXE at some point. Break Man was Proto Man's disguise in his debut game, right?
I'm surprised that Miyuki literally plugged out Skull Man.EXE . Was she not interested in the award, or she was just testing Netto's and Rock Man.EXE's skills? Given that she and Saloma/Sal are working for a organization which opposes World Three, it's probably the latter.
In any case, yay for Netto's and Rock Man.EXE's first victory!
Voice Actor Time!
- Miyuki is voiced by Anna Cummer. She did Miriallia Haw and (lol) Strawberry Shortcake.
- Skull Man.EXE is Brian Drummond. No wonder he's strong. His power is over 9000!
Edit:
Rock Man.EXE / Mega Man NT Warrior Episode 12:
There's a Designated Girl Fight... With a twist: Female Meiru/Maylu fights Female Madoi/Maddy but one of the Net Navis is male (Hint: It's not Roll.EXE). Not to mention the Oba-san and A-Cup Angst jokes during the fight.
Meanwhile, one of the fights is Netto/Lan against Kenichi/Mr.Match, in other words, Rock Man.EXE / Mega Man.EXE vs Fire Man.EXE / Torch Man.EXE.
Commander Beef is Shark Man.EXE's operator. Which also means that Masa-san is a operator all along! That Paper-Thin Disguise don't fool me!
Madoi is 23? She's nearly a Christmas Cake! If the one voicing her was Kikuko Inoue, things would be different.
Voice acting trivia:
- It's Navi vs Hariham Harry! Which fairy will reign supreme?
Edit:
Rock Man.EXE / Mega Man NT Warrior Episode 13:
Talk about a fiery battle! Rock Man.EXE / Mega Man.EXE vs Fire Man.EXE / Torch Man.EXE was a very good fight. Of the World Three's Operators, only Count Elec/Zap and Mahajarama are in the competition.
It's seems that Enzan/Chaud thinks that the Rock Man.EXE vs Fire Man.EXE was the worst battle of the tournament. Too bad for him! I liked the episode.
After the fight, the next match is Wood Man.EXE vs Number Man.EXE. And Wood Man.EXE wins with flying colors.
Edit:
Rock Man.EXE / Mega Man NT Warrior Episode 14:
WOW! For the first time, Netto/Lan fights Enzan/Chaud! Which means that Rock Man.EXE / Mega Man.EXE and Blues.EXE / Proto Man.EXE are fighting too! BTW, Blues.EXE is pretty much powerful, not unlike his classic counterpart. Too bad the fight was interrupted by some stupid viruses...
Ha! I already knew that Commander Beef was that fisherman all along! Also did I already said that Enzan's japanese and english voice actors voiced Jamie, and by extension Wild Eagle? Not to mention that Blues.EXE's japanese voice actor did Ballad/Brad from the same anime.
Fun Fact: The name of the episode, in japanese at least, is named "Street Fight". Okay, I understood that reference.

Strike Laser Claw!!The winners for Mega Man “Get Equipped” Art Contest have been decided. Click here to see all of the other entries.
So uh, what was the point of this contest? I mean, was there a prize for it?

The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.Hmm I honestly like the burner man over the gravity man one.
The other two winners were good though.

Rock Man.EXE / Mega Man NT Warrior Episode 15:
Netto/Lan and Rock Man.EXE / Mega Man.EXE are training the "Program Advance" skill. Meanwhile, Shark Man.EXE fights Whale Man.EXE.
Eventually, Netto and Rock Man.EXE ends up fighting Mahajarama and Magic Man.EXE. And then Enzan/Chaud and Blues.EXE/ Proto Man.EXE fights Count Elec/Zap and Elec Man.EXE. And then Enzan shows the "true" Program Advance.
But what's the difference between "false" and "true"?
Well, the next episodes reveals a Tag Match between the Navis and Operators. Is the Tournament Arc that long?
Man, I can't resist comparing Enzan to Pokémon's Shuu/Drew, given that both characters are rivals and share the same voice actress.
Edit:
Rock Man.EXE / Mega Man NT Warrior Episode 16:
After loads and loads of single match Net Battles, it's now the time of tag match!
A wild reveal appears! Stone Man.EXE and Bomber Man.EXE / Bomb Man.EXE are independent Navis, and his operators are robots. Wow!
BTW the aforementioned two Navis defeated Guts Man.EXE and Wood Man.EXE without effort.
The next episode involves a tag battle of Rock Man.EXE / Mega Man.EXE and Shark Man.EXE vs you guessed out... Stone Man.EXE and Bomber Man.EXE. Ad there's also a bombastic reveal... NOT!
Wow, the Tournament Arc is pretty long. Started on episode 10 and now I'm on 16.

Strike Laser Claw!!Speaking of Battle Network, i saw this on reddit and thought it was surprisingly well-made.
In case people don't get the reference, it's Ending D from the first Nie R.
I guess they decided to get rid of the localized X5 Maverick names.
Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru! So. Yeah, I've seen the trailer. Is this a sign they are fixing X6 like Inafune didn't allow them to back then? Are we getting a decent X4 dub this time?
Growing up, it's like a civil war, don't turn away, it's something you can't ignore...I...can't tell, because the new update on TV Tropes won't let me see any embedded YouTube videos.
Plus, I'll have to recheck on those localized Maverick Boss names. But if they are sticking with the original Maverick Bosses names, then...wow, I can't help but feel a sense of commitment going on here.
I admit, I always liked some of the localized names.
Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru!I'm actually a little disappointed there isn't a fight against multiple X-Hunters, but some of those pairings are pretty neat.
Come to think of it, instead of Doppler and O-Inary, wouldn't Bit and Byte have been a good one?
Well let's hope that the games doesn't receive "Blind Idiot" Translation. We do not want to tarnish X's reputation anymore.
But now it's time for a review!
Rock Man.EXE / Mega Man NT Warrior Episode 17:
Rock Man.EXE / Mega Man.EXE and Shark Man.EXE fights Stone Man.EXE and Bomber Man.EXE (lol), two independent Navis. During the fight they suffer a Ring Out, but now they have 10 minutes to "return to the arena". It ended with a draw, but somehow the next episode shows Rock Man.EXE fighting in the tournament again... with a very familiar friend.
The anime also showed human vs human fights in the forms of Commander Beef vs the Robots. They even showed lightsabers, for the world's sake! (Although considering Capcom's references, are those swords plasma swords?) I am not dumb - Masa-san is Commander Beef.
I can't help but notice that the Tournament Arc is somehow long. And the next episode still shows the main characters fighting in the tournament... WHAT?
Let me guess, Episode 18 and 19 is the mini-saga of the Evil Empress Roll? What a shame, trying to put a mini-arc in an already Tournament Arc which is surprisingly long? Granted, the anime also have Shōnen vibes but still...
I've seem some scenes of the anime even before I've watched "officially". The theme song of the AMV was a song from the Daredevil movie, I think it was Evanescence's Bring Me To Life.

Strike Laser Claw!!In retrospect, I withdraw my complaint. If they're dropping the boss's attack patterns into the stages, they probably tested a lot of the obvious combinations, and if they didn't go with them, it's probably for gameplay reasons.
Thing is, the X games weren't re-released until now, AFAIK. I'd have to have grabbed an old PS 2 to play any of those, or gone through a PC emulator which, despite what the tech-savvy among us might argue, can be a frustrating process.
And while new games are on the horizon, I'd rather collections for X than another Megaman spin-off. We've already had Legends, EXE, and Starforce. I was never pleased with those directions and mainly wanted the Rockman/X timelines to be resolved.
All that said, still, Capcom re-releasing the same stuff in collections doesn't anger me anymore.
Edited by Soble on Jun 26th 2018 at 7:38:37 AM
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!If the re-release of X games does well, that will likely lead to a new X game. Especially if Megaman 11 does well. It's just sound business strategy.
I remember seeing a Youtube video that argued that if Mighty No 9 had actually succeeded Megaman 11 would never have been made. So I guess in a way, the Mighty No 9 kickstarter did succeed in bringing back the Blue Bomber.

Disgusted, but not surprisedRock Man.EXE / Mega Man NT Warrior Episode 18
The first half of the episode involves a slot. Yeah, a pachinko/casino-like slot. And the World Three, as always, are huge cheaters.
The Tag Match battle of the episode is Rock Man.EXE / Mega Man.EXE and Roll.EXE vs Fire Man.EXE / Torch Man.EXE and Color Man.EXE / Wacko Man.EXE. The heroic winners against the villainous losers.
Meiru/Maylu receives a mysterious chip named White Angel Chip by Mr. Higure/Higsby. Turns out that "Higure" is actually Mahajarama in disguise. And the "White Angel" Chip is anything but angelic...
As to the second half, the battle starts. Rock Man.EXE and Roll.EXE fought harmoniously like brother and sister and they're winning. Well, they used to be "brothers" in a distant past...
But then... Meiru utilized the White Angel Chip... Which gave Roll.EXE a bad medicine... A VERY bad medicine.
And then the situation became a Cain and Abel. Roll.EXE is now evil and she turned on Rock Man.EXE. And she even demands him to call her "Roll-sama!"
Seems that Count Elec/Zap is manipulating her... somehow. Roll.EXE is gaining some Elec Man.EXE traits during her "brainwashing".
Is Rock Man.EXE going to save his girlfriend? Or the World Three will win supreme in the N1 Grand Prix?
Voice actor time!
- The fact that Roll.EXE have gone rogue due to the "Devil Chip" is somewhat funny considering that eventually Lenore Zann voices villain Master Cyclonis.
- I remember that Netto/Lan starts to be voiced by Brad Swaile starting by this episode. BTW, Brad is known by the roles of Rock, Quatre and specially LIGHT "I AM THE GOD OF THE NEW WORLD" YAGAMI!. Interesting, in the previous episodes, Netto was voiced by Alex Doduk, basically Kohaku and Vega.
- Speaking of Zoids, Brad Swaile is Harry Champ... A man destined to be king! Wow. Brad Swaile is always destined to be someone, like a king of even a god.

Strike Laser Claw!!
Zero series is much harder than ZX tho
Purely speculating, but I think they don't continue ZX series because they don't know what to do with Thomas (or they can't explain the mystery behind biometals)
