Storm Tornado is actually pretty ridiculous in almost any context.

So we finally have a logo! Now we have to see what the animation looks like!
Storm Tornado is pretty much a straight upgrade to the buster in almost every way. That thing tears through minibosses like tissue paper.
I've decided to play through the classic series with a roll sprite swap since it's been years since I last cracked open an NES title. 2 is a great game, but man is the difficulty all over the place sometimes, and everything after the second castle stage kind of sucks.
The quality takes a sharp turn and cheaper gimmicks slow your progress, not to mention that boss that requires five out of seven bombs, I forgot how much of a pain that was to manage. The final boss is a joke once you get the swaying motion down, and it's a somewhat tedious chip fest as only the bubble can touch the thing, rendering any other weapons moot.
As for 3, I can't find where the weapons go. I've taken out two guys so far, but I'm not sure where to find them.
"No will to break."There's a second page to the weapons menu.
HYYYPE!!!I kind of wish Mega Man 10 had taken more design cues from Mega Man 3, the same way Mega Man 9 was inspired by Mega Man 2. Reintroducing the slide would have made the game a lot more interesting.
In regards to Zero's relationship with Iris, would what was seen at 0:38-0:41 of this indicate that, Iris was a Shrinking Violet (explaining why she hid behind Colonel when they walked into Zero), and that Zero made Iris get out of that shell (given the second flashback shot)?
She's got X's reluctance to fight, but lacks his self-confidence to work toward her ideals. Makes sense, Colonel and Iris were two halves of an attempt to more completely copy an X-level reploid, but only in supplemental materials. Interpret Zero's interest in Iris however you will.
"No will to break."A Pologies for the double post, but I'm a little confused about how the password system in 3 works.
There's a blue and red marker after you click password, but I dunno how you enter it in.
"No will to break."You can edit your comment to add more words.
Non Indicative UsernameYeah but their second post was made four hours later so they're cool.
I'd answer your question but I have no idea. I never played the Classic games much.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!New cartoon? Hope they don't take too much inspiration from Ruby-Spears.
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!Has anyone played Rockman 4 Minus Infinity? I find myself stuck on the title screen and I'm not sure how to start a new game. It's irritating to say the least.
edit: NM, it's one of those press start and A at the same time deals.

"No will to break."I hope they do
Cut off one head 2 more shall take it's place! Hail HydraRemember an old Mega X fangame, MM 21 XX? I remember waiting a lot for the guys who were updating it quite a bit.
The last build we ever got from them was flawed but fun, also the plotline they had for it was pretty ok for a fangame.
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!Just finished Mega Man Zero. Seriously, who the hell thought making a system that forces you to beat missions within two lives or lose out on any weapons was a good idea? Without them, you'd better hope you've figured out the Cyber Elf system and have plenty of time to grind for weapons and crystals, because nothing else in this meat grinder's going to save you.
Fuck Hidden Phantom. His pattern isn't hard, but it's easy to die before you figure out how it works, has no weaknesses, has THREE GODDAMN HEALTHBARS!, and pulls a Kaizo Trap on you while you're likely very low on health. Granted it's insanely simple to dodge, but who's going to see it coming their first time?
After that nightmare, Copy X was a pathetic pushover. Disappointing really, but the pre and post-dialogues were good, and it was all kinds of feelsie for me seeing X again after not having played an X game in 9 years.
I have it on good faith that the games get a lot better after the first one. I really, really hope that's true.
"No will to break."As far as Zero 2 is concerned, you still need A/S rank IIRC to get the weapons from bosses but the cyber elf system is a lot easier to use and the game is better about giving you sub-tanks and other resources earlier on.
Rule of thumb for future games: dont use elves and dont ever die. You wont get A rank otherwise.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireYou'll be tempted to use the anti-Spikes Elf after seeing some of the more sadistic rooms-o-spikes the Zero series throws at you.
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls! At least Zero 4 finally let you get abilities without A ranks. Ironically it's probably the easiest one.
Getting flashbacks to Zero 2's final stage...

I just gave up on getting the boss weapons honestly. It might be interesting for a challenge run but for a casual playthrough it's kind of a pain/less fun to not use elves and stuff.
"We're going to introduce a big, varied subsystem and then punish the player for using it!"
I never really saw the weapons in MMZ as being super integral to gameplay or anything, just cool bonuses that you can get for completing a challenge. Your rank has little bearing on pretty much everything else.
First time I played X1 I didn't even bother with the boss weapons. I honestly find them a bit of a burden unless you know the weaknesses exactly because they're more situational and usually don't work as well as expected. Spark Mandrill's works pretty well though.
Speak for yourself about the no damage thing being easier in classic. I find classic the hardest games by far.
