[up][up]That, too.

[up]Also Rachel's too heterosexual for that.

It does not necessarily have to be a sexual relationship (.. at first, anyway) but inserting Santana as forcefully as at all possible into Rachels life should be a priority for the writers. Naya/Lea/Chris are far and away the best cards glee has to play, and sending Naya off to offscreen university and filling episodes with new hires noone gives a damn about is just silly. Id tie Rachel and Santana together via their careers by having them get cast or signed as a package deal. Which would be very easy to do. (and undo later, if need be)

Not no one gives a damn about the new kids. Everyone's sweet on Marley, Jake, Ryder...

Right now the series is really split between McKinley (where the Glee club is), and New York (where the heroine is).

Though Santana could get up to New York like she was supposed to, she wasn't as lead as Rachel...not until the writers could play on her bitchiness and lesbianism.
I would rather fail in my own way than succeed by someone else's.
Anyone that does care about the new characters is going to be severely disappointed. The cast is too large, by a factor of about 3 or 4, to develop any of them into more than just pale shadows of the original characters. The split show is just bad story telling - Screentime is limited, glee already spends a tonne of it on songs, and if they do not want to let go of Lea Michele they should have scrapped the glee club.

A New Direction really wasn't such a bad idea. It'd be like Ugly Betty, but WITH MUSICALS.
People can stand what is true, for they are already enduring it.

Sooo finally getting aroudn to watch the Breakup episode.

Left Behind.

What. The fuck.
That episode was a downer. Left Behind was the only funny part.

At the end of the ep, when they were showing flashbacks of the couples in happier times, the one that gave me the most feels was Klaine.

Both Darren Criss' and Chris Colfer's acting was really good in that episode.

Agreed. Naya Rivera and Heather Morris also gave stellar performances.

Welp, it's time for me to watch The Breakup myself. Right after I'm done complaining about fan fiction.

IT'S REALLY WEIRD PANNIC.
Well, that was heavy. Also, Kitty genuinely freaks me out.

Yeah.
A few notes.

Ooh, referencing Pacific Overtures. Though given that show has that whole "pretty much all-male cast" thing going, I'm not sure that'd suit Tina's needs.

I recall that my high school choral director would never do Grease. Too risqué. Then again, half the people in my high school choir were Mormons.

Also, from the headscratchers page:

Not to continually beat a dead horse, but where does Finn get off slut shaming Blaine after cheating on Quinn with Rachel in Season One and then being complicit in Quinn cheating on Sam in Season Two?

Seriously?

Anyway, overall I liked the episode. Some actual poignancy (even if it is RDB-related) and loads of confused, upset shippers. Good for me!

My high school did Grease. I figured it was sort of a drama clubs right of passage.
My PM box is always open to anyone who wants to talk/vent.
Well, when my high school did it (before I enlisted), it caused a bit of a schism between the choir department and the drama department, such that the drama department no longer does the school musical.

Choral director is not a fan.
Four episodes and then a hiatus. I mean, really, are they trying to kill interest in the show?

Still a cynic, Pannic...even when nothing's happening.

I'm not being a cynic! I'm actually enjoying the show right now!

And kinda bummed that there's no discussion happening. I wanna make fun of entries on the headscratcher page!

Ha, you're enjoying the show? ;p I'm shocked.

Might be that most of the old fans graduated with the senior class. But if you're looking for discussion...

Hey, that Vocal Adrenaline. What's gonna happen to them since they lost nationals twice in two years? tongue

Perhaps they'll be in hilarious despair. Though maybe they'll beat New Directions this year. I'm predicting that the plucky Glee clubbites aren't gonna win this year.

Yeah, but that tends to lead to them prossibly winning the next year.

Whenever they end the series, I'd expect it to be on a pretty high note.

[up]Why? It's not like they've ever even placed before, it'd be fallacious to assume that next time they will.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the Great
Just a matter of plotting. First three seasons had the New Directions following an upwards progression:

First season, they don't get to Nationals. Second season, they make it to Nationals but don't place. Third season, they win at Nationals. Unless this season has them place at Internationals and then season five moves onto the other inner planets of our solar system.

I'd love to see international glee clubs. [lol]

Here's how I plotted it.
