I fisted the level gently. That Came Out Wrong. Wait, no it didn't.

I have yet to succeed at a pacifist run of the prologue without getting hit by the first 2 spec op types.

Although I have to redownload the entire Director's Cut due to a game-breaking bug that causes a crash to desktop every time I try entering the Alice Garden Pods for any reason.

I just sneak as much as possible then run. They won't follow you out.

Just a warning if you're going for Foxiest of the Hounds: failing a hack counts; so if you get locked out, you get locked out. Don't take risks with this one.

[up]Oh, and it's a glitched achievement too. I fulfilled the requirements on my 2nd playthrough, but the stupid thing wouldn't acknowledge my success.

At least I managed the no-kills run, and ironically that was the achievement I thought I borked due to a body early on in Detroit displaying the "dead" symbol (when in reality, it was a game glitch involving shooting targets in the head with the tranq rifle).

The Nvidia hotfix drivers for my 860M pulled through, and I can now play the rest of the game. Are cloaked Sneakers supposed to stay cloaked after being knocked out? Those I dealt with certainly did.

The Yelena boss fight was... very unusual. I had to preempt her using the Typhoon on me with my own, all the while plugging her with my AP Zenith. And then I tried to use the gas dispersal system on her (I'm playing the Director's Cut), but before I could do anything about the lasers, she ran upstairs and somehow shot out the gas tanks, killing herself.

I died several times due to attempting to use the Mark & Track system on her, and then this happens.

I won't be able to help much, unfortunately. I only played the original game so I don't know what kind of changes they made to her boss fight and the room.

[up]There's an entire second floor in the server room in the Director's Cut with a gas dispersal system that can fill it or the floor below with gas. Apparently shooting the pipes the gas is in can cause it to leak out.

So I completed my initial Pacifist run of the game, complete with Factory Zero for The Missing Link (this is probably easier in the Director's Cut due to starting with 2 energy cells on all difficulty levels save for Give Me Deus Ex). Cooking Zhao just so with the Laser Rifle to ensure that the boss fight ends immediately after she gets one sentence out will never cease to amuse me.

Gotta love how the game encourages players to cheese even the boss fights (save for Barrett), eh?

Played a pacifist run through Give Me Deus Ex mode. Ended up missing some of the literature.

I loved human revolution, but only ever done 1 1/2 playthroughs. The Original I've done 7 times. Not sure why.

Should do another HR run before the next one comes out though. Never managed a full pacifist run and haven't really nailed the DLC mission quite yet. The energy management I always found a little too stringent. Peps gun is fun though!

Not so sure how I feel looking at the sequel about the Biot- I mean the totally not teleporting ability.

Sorry for the necro, but has anyone managed to get through the Tai Yong Medical data core room (the one with all the lasers) undetected, without the invisibility cloak augment, in the Director's Cut?

The problem is that, in the original game, the bottom laser was supposed to flicker on and off. This let you advance into the security room and past a lot of the defenses. Now, it looks like you need either insane timing or the cloak aug (which I generally avoid/put off because I find it pretty useless 99% of the time) to avoid setting off an alarm.

Here is the laser: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=817342634

Here is the location on the map: http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/97222190054159153/AED138BC39DD8C978C92ABCFFFD5044576A86B03/

Anyone have a alternate solution, or do I need to blast my way through?

EDIT: Managed to cheese it by running past the lasers, not sure how the guards didn't detect me.

Can't you shut them off temporarily with the stun gun without causing an alert?

Pretty sure one of the security panels turns off all of the lasers, its just one the other side of the room near the lift.

However there might be one in the security room (the one inside the server room), that can be reach via vents and once you've taken out the guys inside their is a lot you can turn off. Form there it only a short distance from the lift.

The laser panel is near the elevator that takes you out of the area, I never saw the point of it. Once you are there, you can just leave the place behind.

Just got to the Missing Link (or "Why everyone in a Belltower uniform should be shot without trial") in the Director's Cut. How does the inventory transfer work? I don't have my inventory expansion augs... do I still get everything I had in Hengsha back when I reach Singapore?

At the end of the Missing L Ink, you'll find a crate with all of your items and exactly enough Praxis Kits to regain the points you lost when you were reset. Which, combined with the praxis points you'll get in the Missing Link, makes the rest of the game a cakewalk.
