I generally don't care for J-pop (because helium) but yeah, that song is awesome. Aya Hirano can sing, all right.

Ahem.

Cool, zeroplusalpha.

Also, HOLY SHIT HARUHI AND KONATA HAVE THE SAME VOICE.

I have no idea how I failed to notice this until now.

^^Related.

And I'll humbly say that Minori Chihara (Yuki) > Aya Hirano and Nana Mizuki tongue

This is the shit!

Oh the Ga-Rei Zero- opening. She sang that in Haruhi-chan.
Listening to Nana Mizuki atm (this song is great, thanks zeroplus) but Haruhi-chan is on my to-watch list, so yeah.

Fueling the derail further, here's my personal Nana Mizuki favorite:

Say what you want about Striker(s), but it did have kickass openings.

Hey, I liked Striker(s). It's /a/ that does not. tongue
I'm glasses.
I never understood the Fandom Rivalry between K-On! and Haruhi. I mean, I guess I do, since K-On! came out when everyone was expecting Haruhi season 2 instead, but... is it really so wrong to like both shows? I do... although I like K-On! in more of a Guilty Pleasure sort of way.
Always, somewhere, someone is fighting for you. As long as you remember them, you are not alone.
To put it simple, the former group (Haruhi) was blaming the latter (K-On) for their lack of a second season of their show. But with Endless Eight rearing its ugly face, guess which side had the final laugh on virtue of not raging hard at itself.

Several Haruhi fans are blaming K-On! for the Off Model way Haruhi has been drawn in (her upper teeth showing and her head being rounded at the edges).

Right, there was that pic I created.

The accusations of Off Model Haruhi season 2 being more like K-On! are true, but greatly greatly exaggerated. One look at the above picture tells you that.

The art style changed greatly in quality between episodes. The last episodes of Sighs were much better.

Still, it's got this weird blurriness like someone used the soft focus too much.

Indeed. Except for Haruhi-chan's songs, Yuki's a big aversion of a Non-Singing Voice (and even her canon singing in the drama CD's not that bad either).

I danced to K-On's ED at a disco. Guilty pleasure? Nope, cos I like it.smile
Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.
NOT holding a Shoe Phone
So, they've recently released an OVA... and, well, it's nice and fun, pretty much like the whole series. Good idea for a one-shot episode with actual "plot" progression in it.
Liveblogging of EP 8 of Umineko no Naku Koro ni to start... sometime.

K-On! has plot?

Hence the quotes.

But yeah, it's a bit more plot-driven than your typical Slice of Life show (such as Azumanga Daioh or Lucky Star), as it follows the various steps of the club slowly becoming better. There's definitely some forward momentum.

Well, that's true. I guess you could say it does have more plot than Azumanga. It's just still not as good.

Cute OVA is cute.

Also, there are two versions of Watashi no Koi wa Hotchikisu, right?

This guy went and combined them both, effectively creating a Yui and Mio duet.

It's So Cool It's Awesome.
