It's a difficult hack then, I take it?
Does a bear shit in the woods? Also, I tried spawning a single yukkuri with the fast monsters toggle enabled and WHAT THE FU—

SoullessHas anyone seen this Let's Play of Doom II? It's been awhile since I've seen it, so I don't really remember if it was good or not. All that I recall is that the LPer says that Map 09 (The Pit) is the worst in the game (I didn't find it that bad, personally) and the Doom community apparently thinks so too, and that he hates Sandy Peterson (one of the map designers, I think).
FPSes don't make for good Lets Plays, most of the time, unless the game is completely insane.
I dunno, Wugga's LP of Quake was pretty good.
SoullessWell, both LPers go for 100% kills and secrets, so I guess if you have trouble with finding the latter, you can watch the videos and find out where they are. I'm still curious about The Pit being widely thought of as the worst map in Doom II. Is there any truth to that?
Oh and Suspicious' LP of Hexen was pretty good too. And his co-LP with Suspicious of Daikatana... but for totally different reasons.
Your Worth is 50 Yen!The Pit does bug the crap out of me, but I definitely hate The Living End more.
SoullessMaybe it's just the way I play, but I didn't find it that bad. CyRaptor (the LPer) thinks otherwise. In fact, I re-watched this video, and here is his reasons why The Pit "fucking sucks":

Your Worth is 50 Yen!Oh, wait, the Pit. I was thinking of The Chasm, which is soul-crushingly bad. The Pit isn't that awful.
SoullessThe only really annoying part in The Chasm is anytime you have to navigate thin lines, especially at the end, where you can't get out if you fall in.
Your Worth is 50 Yen!That and I never quite got the hang of the level design in that one, so I end up spending more time there than I'd prefer.
Anyone here played Action Doom 2? Just discovered some of the alternate endings the other day. Holy crap. I didn't know there were other endings besides "you get executed by the thugs in the subway tunnel after losing to them" and "you successfully rescue your daughter from Crisp". Also, DOJO FIGHT HELL YES. Also, play STRAIN. One of the best old mods. It's so balanced it feels like I'm gliding through the game.

Ooooh, lookie what I found! (In other news, WE NOW HAVE A NEW SMILIE: )
... Dude. Holy shit. Holy shit. This mod is beyond words. P.S.: Have fun with the new and improved pinky demons. Sleep tight!

Your Worth is 50 Yen!The concept reminds me of Blood. Just a little.
It's kinda Blood meets Heretic, as far as I can tell. Oh, and every enemy has been upgraded to either a righteous pain in the ass or a living machine of rage born in the core of Hell, all for good measure.
Sure, why not. ... Did I mention the new pinky demons? I think I did, but I'm going to mention them again. I can't not mention them. They won't go away. I used the timestop powerup (replaces Berserk box) and cleared half of TNT Map01 with the pistol before anyone could react, except for the uberpinky. Then I retreated to a room out of the uberpinky's sight. When time returned to normal, the uberpinky was in the room and clawing at me within seconds. Even in my sleep, they are chasing me. The flesh-creature things that replace the Arch Vile? Oh, that's scary, too, but I don't mind the paranoia of cat-and-mouse fights. But with the uberpinkies, you run. You run and shoot. But above all, you run. You can't outrun them. They are faster than you could hope to be. But it doesn't matter. RUN. ... -*curls into a ball in a corner and cries himself to a fitful sleep*

Be sure to read the manual. It won't save you but it might help reveal in retrospect what keeps killing you AHAHAHAHAHAHA uberpinky uberpinky uberpinky.
Speaking of Blood...

I keep forgetting where's the chainsaw in E 1 M 1. ... Actually, I don't know if there is one, but I remember my cousin showing me a LONG ASS TIME ago, it might have been E 1 M 1 or the two maps after it.

The chainsaw's in E 1 M 2. You have to open the maze, shoot the wall in a small corridor with some imps in it, and that will open a passage to the room with the chainsaw.
Your Worth is 50 Yen!AAAAARGH Was playing DoomRL, right? Just your average shotty build, nothing special. Get about halfway to the Shottyman trait, and I find a Blaster. "Oh, cool. Could make a nice sidearm for a while, " I say to myself. A few levels later, I've almost got Army of the Dead, and I'm in Hell's Armory. Clear the place, and what do I find? Grammaton Cleric Beretta. THE ONE FUCKING TIME I'M NOT DOING A DUAL PISTOL RUN WHAT THE FUCK
