I didn't say they shouldn't exist, I just have a preference.
And I totally, 100% understand and respect that. I want to like party Social Links. I really do. The idea of picking and choosing who you find the most interesting and deciding who gets Character Focus? Sounds great on paper. But in my opinion, it usually makes the narrative suffer.
I think the best compromise are limited-time social links. Shinjiro, for example. His SL did nothing but help him because the writers didn't have to worry about making sure SL 1 Shinjiro would make sense in October as much as SL 10 Shinjiro did in June. You still get the SL, you still get the development, but... yeah.

Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them. The story can also be affected directly by who you social linked & how much.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."That would just lead us to the Bioware issues with choice affecting narrative.
Ya just gotta find the right balance dude.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."On the subject about the mobile game. I wasn't pointing out that it was just a pachinko or mobile cash in... It's the fact that is is a Mobile and Pachinko game.
Will we get lore?
New music is nice.
I'm pretty sure there's no more lore for P4...they had to make shit up for Ultimax, and sort of kind of in PQ and I think in DAN they just confirmed some minor stuff that I think was in guidebooks that never made it over here or something....and then made up more stufff.
In P 3 P, you could do Junpei's SL way before his actual character development, and it made negative sense.
Junpei's SL was the very first one I did in P 3 P. Needless to say, it was really jarring to see some of his behaviour in the later story sequences.
Apologize to the funyarinpa!Tell me about it.
- FEMC: Thanks for helping me find that picture taking pervert from Tennis/Volleyball class bropei.
- JUNPEI: No problem, dudette.
Later in the story...
- JUNPEI: Well look at little miss leader, taking out 2 Full Moon Shadows like it was nothing. I could have done waay better than you.
- FEMC: What the fuck man?
Sweet, sweet SL.
Watch me destroying my countryI'm glad people don't take all themed pachinko machines personally because of Konami, franchised pachinko machines have been a thing for years and Konami are the only big negative example that I know of. Outside of SNK's shady buyout and franchise milking I guess.
Come sail your ships around me, and burn your bridges down.Been playing a lot over the past few days. Finished the Secret Lab and went back for the bonus boss. I think the Secret Lab is actually my favorite dungeon so far. Seriously, it's a Nazi Superscience bunker guarded by Humongous Mecha minibosses, that's awesome. The music was pretty good, too.
In terms of social links, in addition to Chie, I've now finished Yosuke, Yukiko, Kanji, Nanako, and Dojima. Rise is up to level 5, Daisuke and Yumi are both at level 6, and I finally got around to starting the Moon and Devil social links, which are both at level 2. Holy sexual harassment nurse, Batman! Oh, I also got the Fox up to level 7, and Margaret's at level 9 but I'm not high enough level to finish it. Don't have the stats to start Naoto, the Konishi brother, or the tutoring job yet. The daycare job I've accepted but not actually gone to. There's also some guy with a portrait that I've seen wandering around, but I haven't figured out what his deal is, so I'm not sure if he's a social link or what. I've been calling him Marvin because he's sooooooo depressed.
As an aside, the best level 10 SL scene so far was Yosuke's. WE ARE NOW BROS FOR LIFE. TO CEMENT OUR BRONESS, WE WILL BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF EACH OTHER FOR NO REASON, BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT BROS DO.
I also aced the fall midterms, and now the Culture festival is coming up. Yosuke confirmed for unrepentant douchebag. Seriously, how about some character development, man? Playing stupid pranks that genuinely upset the people you supposedly care about is fine early on (well, in a narrative sense, at least), but I'm like 80 hours into the game at this point and you're still being an inconsiderate jackass. There needs to be a "throw Yosuke under the bus" dialogue option. Hell, there needed to be one of those during the campout, much less during the lead up to the Culture Festival.
Oh well. I'm still going to be the prettiest drag queen. I won't lose!

Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.Speaking of female halves, I'm gonna go way out on a limb and guess the pint-sized detectives issues weren't much of a surprise, huh?
That's true (re: Yosuke not actually intending to force them into it), but instead of "oh shit, I fucked up, let me beg your forgiveness and then help fix it" his response is to immediately begin arguing why they should just go with it instead of even trying to get out of it. In other words, it's clear that he's not upset because he's accidentally hurt his friends by inadvertently forcing them into something they don't want to do, he's upset because they're pissed at him. His reaction isn't to try to undo the harm he's done, it's to try to keep them from being angry at him.
re: Naoto, I actually already knew about The Reveal. I don't even recall where I read/saw/whatever that information. Probably would've struck me as an Ass Pull if I hadn't already known about it. There certainly wasn't much-if-anything in the way of foreshadowing.
re: Blood: The Last Vampire, never heard of it, but "I won't lose!" is a fairly standard anime catchphrase.

Really from Jupiter, but not an alien. You'll see the connection when you get to it, maybe.
It's slightly subtle. SLIGHTLY.
I sure said that!*suggestive eyebrow waggles*
Heart of StoneYosuke subconsciously understands that violence is just another form of sex. Like dancing.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.I wanted to just punch Yosuke but the game insisted on us having a proper fight. Laaaaame.
But he hit me back! Doesn't he know that real friends are there to be used and discarded at my convenience?
Lol Arha.
You'll help Marvin, Jovian.
Because you were being nice. We all know in a real fight you'd kick his ass, but since you're a nice guy....you let....him....
.....Yeah ok. I can't keep this up.
We all know Arha isn't a nice guy.
But getting serious, Arha is a cool guy.
One Strip! One Strip!
The worst is who i actually like the P4 cast.
I like because they are mostly healthy teenagers, personally i want delete them for the Dysfunction Junction page because compared to the others cases and in a Real Life comparation they ar just teens dealing with their own issues. Unlike the P3 and the P2 casts, specially P2:IS cast.
But of course, they just took the SL system and take the worse of it. Yosuke? I like him but considering who he spent mostly of his time being a jerk (and he just have development in his SL) i totally understand why he is a Base Breaker. Even my best friend hate Yosuke.
Is not so odd, is somewhat predictable. If they want have certain scenes they are forced to mantain their status, Take Yosuke, while he can get over the most of his jerk tendencies in his SL; he is "forced" to be a jerk to some scenes.
The core mechanic of P3 and P4. Only two games against three (P2 is a duology, and P5 and the cooperation system look like something different)
