Persona series

Don't know if it works on other bosses. All I know is that if you let her use it during that fight it only does about twenty damage.

It famously works on the Hand midboss in Void Quest.

It actually changes to Galaxy Kick when it's not an instant kill, which I think is a nice little detail.

Shadow Teddie is Moon Arcana. But Teddie is Star Arcana. Does not compute. o_o

People are complex and have multiple sides, even when they aren't the main. Like how in FES, the social links with your party members don't always have the same arcana as their Personas.

Oh, he's a very complex character... conceptually. In game he's so one note it stands out in a game filled with one note characters.

Shadow Teddie was in part forced out by an outside figure, so it wasn't quite entirely Teddie's Shadow when it shows up. The game is very vague about it- It's just a few lines from Rise, who's still very new to the strangeness that she's been forced into. I don't like using the anime as definitive info, but it directly showing Ameno-Saigiri as being a factor doesn't contradict the game, and while its Arcana is kept unknown during the battle with it it's very obviously Moon themed.

Shadow Teddie is also kinda creepy.

I found Amago with that weird eye even creepier.

Okay, no interest in DAN but that Disco Fever set is pretty cool. The golden Teddie keychain is awesome.

So I finished Golden last night and got the True Ending. Overall I really enjoyed it. Persona 4 is one of my favorite video games, so the update was definitely welcome. While I'm on the fence over Marie as a character, I thought her inclusions did fill in a lot of holes about Izanami.

My one complaint is that the game should have, ironically enough, taken a page from the anime adaptation. The game really wants to treat Marie as an Honorary True Companion of the Investigation Team, but she suffers from some nasty Four Lines, All Waiting. What they should have done is included Marie in all those new group excursions that they added in Golden. At least then, it would have felt more organic that she was so close to the group.

Yea, not going to buy that disco fever set. 99.99 CAD is way too much for me.Still going to buy the game though. It'll be a good change from DJ max.

Re-reading what I posted four years ago, I have this to ask about “Persona 3 Club” Book's World Guide Q&A: If Nyx came from something called the "Star Eater," then where do Philemon, Nyarlathotep, Erebus, and Izanami fit into all of this?

Collective Unconscious. That's where they've always come from. Only Nyx was something else before becoming Death. We've had this discussion with others in this thread before.

Nyx is a thing that just kind of crashed into Earth and indirectly and inadvertently created mankind and basically everything else in the process. It was sealed after it sparked the evolution of basically everything because people died too fast or something. It doesn't actually give a shit what anyone does and doesn't even care if people wake it up or leave it alone or dance the flamenco on its head.

Erebus is the collective deathwish of mankind. If you destroy it, it reforms and then tries to break the great seal to wake up Nyx, which will cause everything to die, though not immediately. Izanami was probably born from the collective will of mankind, but it's not stated directly. Philemon is the collective subconscious or something. Nyarly might be the collective evil of mankind, but it also might be something that just feeds off of it and is a super dick.

Nyx is the only one confirmed to exist independently of mankind.

My memory of NGE is really vague, but wasn't Lilith just another of the potential things humanity could evolve into?

Nah, Lilith was a progenitor thingy sent by aliens to seed Earth with life. The conflict resulted from Earth accidentally ending up with two progenitor thingies, and the other one created the giant "Angel" monsters that are the shows villains to weed out humanity.

Funnily enough, in mainline SMT, Lilith and Nyx tend to be the same race, Night.

Technically in Eva Adam came first and Liliths crash caused him to become dormant. Not to mention it was humanity that caused the events of Eva because of their desire to die/live forever as tang.

Izanami probably wasn't made from the entire collective desire of mankind due to her connection to Inaba. It was likely just Inaba itself that gave rise to her, since she isn't on the level of power of any other Persona antagonist. Plus both her and Marie have their power tied directly to Inabas land.
