Open up the save file (herocore.sav) in a text editor and scroll to the bottom. There is much awesomeness there.
"I want to create an omelet that expresses the meaninglessness of existence, and instead they taste like cheese."Yeah. That's what I meant by the checksum.
the future we had hoped forNice game. 0% Normal Tetron is hard (but only stage 1 of his fight). Hard mode is really hard.
So far, I've been doing the areas in order. I need my bullet upgrades to do the later areas or I can't kill the spawners quickly enough. I beat Reaper Drone though. He always moves towards you in his patterns and doesn't change direction well, so it's possible to avoid him if you can keep the drones out of the way.
Australia The country with a 2 party system But all the power with independentsI might have to pick this up later.
Guess who's starting an LP of it?
Sakamoto demands an explanation for this shit.I've just finished normal mode. I gave annihilation a try, but it really means business. My current strategy is one I call "WTBNTB" (Watch the bullets not the boss) Where I sit back, turn on autofire and focus on dodging bullets instead of firing. (This is probably the normal way to play this sort of game, but I wouldn't know, I haven't played many games like it.)
This strategy didn't work on the final boss because I didn't realise you had to shoot his head so I was dodging for ages. I beat all the previous bosses to get all the upgrades, so I found him fairly easy.
I like the way the levels rearrange entirely if you play on different difficulty settings. This has added a lot of replay value to it.
beat game once, go to difficulty select screen when making a new file and hold right for five seconds and try the new option that appears it's awesome
e historians dedicated to these two and their relationship. To top it all off, both of them died on the same day hours from one another. TheSo Daniel Remar finally made a game mode that reallyjoel's dad couldn't beat so hard it fell out of the game?

the future we had hoped forIn lieu of feeling I have time to play the game itself right now, I tracked down your music composer, Brother Android. He's got some incredible stuff. Where did you find him?
Sakamoto demands an explanation for this shit.I think I may actually be better than Deceased Crab at this game. The lack of autofire is really hurting him in the boss fights.
By the way, I totally kicked Annihilation mode's ass. The end guy was hard, but not as hard as beating Tetron at Level 0 was.
Grabbing is where you must begin Shaking for treasure from within Throwing far is how to win! There's an autofire? Like, as a feature of the game? Cause, I mean...that really would have helped against the reaper drone, especially in hard mode. Ugh. My hand still hurts from that bastard.

He posts on Eo, a private forum where I hang, and basically offered to make the soundtrack.
Oh snap, the game's basically getting Slashdotted by a bunch of big sites now. Looking forward to another angry letter from my host about using multiple times the allowed bandwidth - eventhough neither Iji nor Hero Core are actually on my server. :(
Holy crap! The Komato Annihilator Living Warmachine killed itself with the massacre. That's both awesome and very not awesome because I technically still haven't killed it yet.
On a related note, annihilation is easier than hard.

Australia The country with a 2 party system But all the power with independentsWhat kind of bandwidth are we talking about here?
And as for how you met Brother Android, that's neat to know! Meeting folks is good for whatever you might need, mostly.
I've gotten to play a bit of Hero Core on Normal now. Beat 5 bosses and the Hunter-Killer. I'm getting some suspicions of where this little story with the PCs is going.
Sakamoto demands an explanation for this shit.Well, Iji is 24 MB. It's been downloaded 710'000 times from my alternate server, which including the HQ soundtrack downloads is about 25TB. My own server has a 15GB per month limit, which is easilly broken if enough people download e.g. the Scrap pack and Hero, which are hosted on my primary server.
The good thing is that the alternate server is free and has no bandwidth limit, and costs me nothing. It's my university's server which hosts my stuff with their permission, with some more details to it. I just got the rest of my games moved there today :)))
People download Iji about 1000/day, Hero Core shot up to 2000/day if not more yesterday. It's hard for me to believe when I see it written like that... I used to get 1 visit per day if that back in 2004...
On a related note, annihilation is easier than hard.
Yeah, I don't want to buff Annihilation though. It's tough enough.

Yay for university servers! I was tempted to offer space on mine, but it has a limit as well... I think you'd bust it :p
In other news, just finished Hero Core on Normal, 100% completion. Got both hidden moves. I suspected the twist at the end, but you pulled it off beautifully nonetheless. Of course, by that point it was more of an un-twist.
Also, two things. One: "Maybe flying upside down will help me navigate this place better" cracked me up :P Two: unlocked Reallyjoel's Dad difficulty. I'm not even sure what to say about it, it has to be seen to be truly understood. I just have to ask you... is it even possible?
Sakamoto demands an explanation for this shit.Also...
Hard Mode trial. I have about half map coverage right now, but I've only defeated one boss so far.
This is like a whole new game O.o All the enemy patterns have changed a bit, the map is completely different, and the bosses are deadly as all hell. This mode is less like Hard and more like Extreme in Iji terms, though that doesn't really translate over well between games anyway.
Sakamoto demands an explanation for this shit.I've actually been having more problems with Hard's regular rooms than the bosses. Enemy and boss patterns aren't much worse, but their placement very much is.
Holy fuck. Holy FUCKING FUCK. I hate the fucking grand mother. Jesus christ, this shit is impossible when it keeps spawning soldiers. It's a fucking Luck-Based Mission, man.
If you think the Grand Mother is bad on Normal, wait until you see the Mothers themselves on Hard.
the future we had hoped forI am talking about hard. I'm pretty sure they don't spawn soldiers in normal. Jesus, even with maxed weapons, it's impossible without lots and lots of skillful blade use. And, of course, the blade has a ridiculously tiny range.
No worries, though. I beat the bastard. Level 3 blade is actually kinda decent, if only because of the increased vertical range. Now I can just plough through some of the most annoying enemies, like the ...okay. Actually, every enemy is insanely annoying in hard mode. But the "medium" enemies are cake when I can one-shot them with the blade. Soldiers, however, are still a pain in the ass on account of having ten jillion hit points.
Nah, Mothers spawn Soldiers in Normal. Soldiers, like everything else, are less annoying in Normal though.
the future we had hoped for
Dear Reaper Drone:
Fuck you.
EDIT: Opened up Liquid Metal Processor. I think I might start going up against it instead.
