Basically a concept to play exalted using Fate Core (or a variant of it) instead of its own system. Could be fun, if you are not into slapping each other with sourcebooks :D?
"You can reply to this Message!"That's nothing new at all. I've seen conversions for Legend Of Wulin too.
Exalted Third Edition still doesn't have an official release date.
And yet, Exalted Third Ed: Dragon-Blooded is supposed to come out in the fall according to Onyx Path.
If you meet me have some courtesy, have some sympathy, have some taste. Use all your well-learned politesse or I'll lay your soul to waste.Idunno, Fall 2016 seems reasonable.
Oh, I'm sorry. It's actually Winter.
But it's Winter 2015, not 2016. Meaning at the end of this year we'll have a splatbook for Third Edition. Three of them, in fact, since Arms of the Chosen and The Realm are also supposed to come out. This is according to Onyx Path's official release announcement they made yesterday.
If you meet me have some courtesy, have some sympathy, have some taste. Use all your well-learned politesse or I'll lay your soul to waste. That was a joke.
Yeah those schedules never had ground in reality.
A joke? Then you don't think it'll be out by fall 2016?
Nah, 2017 at the earliest.
I'm not sure. Supposedly they're redoing the art right now, which is usually the last thing to happen before the book is put together.
If you meet me have some courtesy, have some sympathy, have some taste. Use all your well-learned politesse or I'll lay your soul to waste. It's reportedly all written up and just needs to go through layout, which can't possibly take a whole year, right?
Welp, 3e has been leaked again. It's now 949 pages long and seems to be nearly the complete book - even got chapter fictions in.
949? Dear god, you'll be able to kill someone with the hardback.
You can kill someone with pretty much any hardback, if you strike hard and in the right place.
Um, or so I've heard. Hypothetically.
Edit: And 949 pages before layout is a very different thing from 949 pages in the actual hardback. Chuubo's Marvelous Wish-Granting Engine broke a thousand pages unformatted, ended up about half that.

Oh damn what the hell are they doing. Craft is still separate abilities, and they're even MORE splintered now - every one is about as broad as a speciality.
But Wait, There's More!! To buy Martial Arts, you need to get a special Merit, and then every singular style is a separate Ability like Craft.

Didn't, like, everyone houserule away Craft being separate abilities on the grounds that it didn't make sense in a game where Melee was equally useful for swords and whips and Angrokian war spoons?
Yep.
Also, Techniques (special martial arts moves that don't use Essence) are gone.
It was the whole big thing, for the sake of having mortals practicing martial arts be distinct and widespread. So you could have schools of kungfu, into which your Exalt could roll in, learn the style (and techniques) and then figure out the Charms from there.
Without them, it goes back to old bad position - there isn't really any substance to mortal MA schools, they don't mean a shit and the only way to learn MA for Exalt is other Exalt or spirit.
Techniques being dropped was apparently mentioned somewhere a while back, because it came up in the ask the devs thread at rpgnet a week or two ago. Justification from the devs starts here and continues for a coupla pages.
Well, whatever problems the new edition has, it's got a soulsteel skycutter that lets you shank your enemies with blades made out of their own blood, and that just warms the Void-touched cockles of my Abyssal heart.
.*angry indignant noises*
Surprise surprise, they split all the most interesting pathos from the Abysaals and gave it to the Liminals. They are actually suggesting the Abysaals be Romantic Poets. This is shit, this is just completely shit.
"You are never taller then when standing up for yourself"Aaaah, yes, L-Mage, your rage sustains me.
Now, where the Mal' is this leak?

Where else but the dreaded depths of 4chan?
...Although seriously tg is a nice place, you should visit.
Well, I was just gonna mix-n-match what I felt like anywho.
-the Unconquered Sun is the god of... the day and the night-
Whaaaa
The current common perception of Abyssals is that an Abyssal warrior-poet would be like
"Roses are black
Violets are dead
This is my daiklave
Off comes your head
*horrible soul-rending rape and torture Charm*"
And that's a shame. I think you know what I do when I think something's missing from Exalted.

You are dazzled by my array of very legal documents.Would be? One of the Abyssal sigs literally is a warrior-poet.
And the most pathosy member of the sig circle, now that I think about it. The Disciple has an out with his whole Love Redeems thing with Harmonious Jade and the other three are content being various flavors of bastard, but Falling Tears Poet just goes through his life hating his boss and those playacting ghosts and the niggling voice of his own conscience.

I've actually been following Kill Six Billion Demons for a while. I hadn't considered it in an Exalted context, but there are a lot of similarities now that I think about it.
Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.
