Just post whatever comes to mind.
Please refrain from excess venting in this thread. Talking about negative emotions is fine but it's best not to dwell on them for too long. TV Tropes is not suited to deal with mental health situations.
If Oscar Wilde had lived in our time, he would be a /b/tard.
Actually, scratch that. He does, and goes by Jethro Q Walrustitty.

Oh right, Magnus Chase...the Norse series. I'll have to get on that too...apparently it comes/came out this month.
Why does he have Annabeth's last name.
I've heard a lot about Dune. But I'm also considering Discworld. And really there's a lot of fantasy novels I missed out on in high school...

This is my first post here with my new laptop.
I don't have to share the computer anymore!
"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." -Thomas EdisonFor some reason (assumably creative insecurities) have redirected me back onto TV Tropes in spite of me promising not to mess with it any more right now while I try to study art, animation and music instead of wasting my college time on the internet like a dumbo.
This website has found so many ways to mess with me. I can't be dealin' wit your fandom shite when I'm trying to go professional here. I'm too busy to be any more busy!

My art Tumblr![1] Really need to get back on that...So for my English class homework: I need to read The Metamorphosis.
I can't even make sense of anything.
"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." -Thomas EdisonI think the takeaway from my grade in English this term is that I suck at English and need more work.
But apparently my parent think this means I suck at everything.
There is a trope for it somewhere.
Believe me, that's infinitely better than The Aeneid.
Then again, it depends on which translation you use. I read Mandelbaum translation, which I thought was pretty good.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. And I'm currently siting at a B- in the most basic level of science class even though I want to go into science in college and such.
"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." -Thomas EdisonWhich field of science?
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Probably biology. My science class this year is chem which I find fascinating but I'm not a very organized person in general and I'm not the best at all the math-y stuff that chem and physics requires.
"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." -Thomas EdisonI'm just reminded about how English was the thing I scored highest on standardized tests and such during ol' school days and such, but Advanced English in High School was a holy terror I subjected to myself TWICE if partly because I wanted to get something out of it.
Then again, very few people did very well in the class, so...in any case it actually discouraged me from writing and reading for a good while though. On the plus side, it did get me more analytical about my writing despite that, admittedly. I suppose I can sift the good from the more grating things I've gone through over the years.
My art Tumblr![1] Really need to get back on that...Well, at least it ain't medical.

Also, orgy kills.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. That or just about how mental illness makes one seem like a monster. Or something. Or it could be about a guy who turns into a bug.
Also science: while chem and physics are cool, it feels kinda alien and unfeeling. Bio feels more alive. (no pun intended.)

"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." -Thomas EdisonAnd most importantly, gods are dicks. Most of the times.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Have a 85% in AP Language and Comp after scoring a zero on a test that my teacher didn't teach us. There is no chance of I obtaining a 4.0 GPA unless I magically scored perfect on my finals, my teacher dropped that test grade, and the grade is bumped 2%.
"You fight by rules to keep your humanity." - Franz Stigler.
That quote is simple, but powerful, if you ask me.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.I similarly got a 75% on a summer assignment worth 100 points (because I misread the essay). If I get 100%'s on everything during this quarter, my best possible grade is a 91% if I'm lucky. I'm reeeeaaly damn sorry for you though, what happened to you is extremely unfair. Can't you tell a school administrator what happened and they can maybe arrange something for you?
HEY FRENS
Hai son
Oh really when?Pops!
Waifu is in classes, so now I have to be a real human being without her.
You'll survive son, I believe in you.
Oh really when?
Dune. Weird, sometimes political, mystical, and environmental, but a classic sci-fi novel (and series if you get hooked on the well-built world). If you're not into that, try Stephen King's The Stand. It's a long epic but I haven't heard someone vocally hate it. If you're also not into that, someone else can give you a pointer. :P

Life is hard, that's why no one survives.
