Too bad it also gets the most viruses.
I think.
If people learned from their mistakes, there wouldn't be this thing called bad habits.^ No. XP and 7 are probably the most susceptible in terms of user base affected, while Vista has the biggest holes.

Remember when XP came out and everyone complained about the "Fischer-Price interface" and how stupid it was to name the top-level directory "My Computer?" (I think that was XP)
Win7 is a pretty worthy successor to XP, people just aren't used to it yet. Also most of the frontend kinks have been smoothed out of Vista.
Fresh-eyed movie blogThe top-level directory was called My Computer as far back as Windows 95. Fisher Price accusations were about the Luna theme from XP, though
The Luna theme can be changed back to the classic theme from Windows 2000. My Computer has indeed been around since Windows 95. XP SP 2 fixed the worst security holes. That said, XP doesn't have UAC so Windows 7 is more secure.
I plan to use XP until 2014 when it is no longer supported. Windows 7 after that since Windows 8's tablet focus doesn't inspire confidence in Microsoft.

Think Of The Ewoks.....I liked Windows XP.
UN JOUR JE SERAI DE RETOUR PRÈS DE TOII'm still using XP, here, years after I finally made the jump from 98SE (I'm pretty slow at going to newer OSes, I was still using MS-DOS like 2 years into the Windows 95 era before Wing Commander Prophecy finally forced me to jump from the DOS era).
I've been mulling over actually getting W7 for 64-bit support (XP has a 64-bit version, but it's rare), but I'm not really all that enthusiastic about finding out the hard way what is and isn't going to work with existing software and isn't covered by the compatibility checker that MS offers. The XP compatibility option being reserved for the Business and Ultimate versions of W7 may actually make some sense, I suppose, but it's waaaaay more money than it's worth.*

All your safe space are belong to TrumpIn future, I plan to pay to get XP and dual-boot with Win 7 for games, XP for the rest. Best of both worlds.

Think Of The Ewoks.....Still using XP here. My PC is on its deathbed though; I guess ~9 years is a pretty good run for a PC.
Me too. Mostly because mine is too crappy to deserve anything better.
"Liar liar on the wall, give the world to me..."My 7+ year XP sits on the first floor, with broken speakers and an erratic Internet connection. It been spazzing out recently, so it could fail at anytime.

Ah. Windows XP. One of my former schools still uses it in their computer labs...
Microsoft should have remembered this when making Vista and 7, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it".
Think Of The Ewoks.....I just got a Windows 7 netbook. Before that I had a 7 year old Windows XP laptop. In fact my school only uses Windows XP. I don't even know how to use Word 2010 becasue of that. XP served me well though.
But... I like Vista.
Well, Vista was broken, so 7 fixed it. Vista's job was not fixing XP, although XP isn't perfect of course. Vista's aim was to introduce new features.
I still find XP usable though.

Now using Trivialis handle.Vista is what happens when the marketing guys find out somebody is releasing something before them and do their best to shove whatever they've got out the door.
Fight smart, not fair.Whatever happened to Win FS? Microsoft said it would be in Vista and it looks like even Windows 8 won't have it.
Think Of The Ewoks.....I've got Win 7 Startup Edition.
AKA the one for "emerging foreign markets" AKA the one where changing your background is a feature you need to download a third party program for.
I spread my wings and I learn how to fly....I'm just going to flaunt around my Linux system over here.
But no, even though I liked XP, 7 has proven to be the best one so far in my opinion.
The emotions of others can seem like such well guarded mysteries, people 8egin to 8elieve that's how their own emotions should 8e treated.7 runs a bit smoother from my experience.
Fight smart, not fair.I use a Mac, but I always thought XP was pretty good. And I never liked Vista, although admittedly I never used it much.
My real soft spot is for 95 and 98, though, as that's what was on our old-as-shit Windows computer before we got rid of it. Or, I think it had Windows 98 and I've used computers at school that had Windows 95 on them when I was little? Not sure.

Always, somewhere, someone is fighting for you. As long as you remember them, you are not alone.
I'm still using it.
That's how good I think XP-Tan◊ is.
A lot of people use it and it's been 9 years.
My other signature is a Gundam.
