It's an idiom; like "Baltic" for cold weather
Schild und Schwert der ParteiRain in Oregon?
WTF is this sorcery?
But seriously, this is the dry part of Oregon.
what do you mean I didn't win, I ate more wet t-shirts than anyone elseIt's hot and humid as usual for summer in the south. And it seems my apartment's ac broke. So glad I'm going out of town. Sleeping in an 80 F house all night was miserable.
People are mirrors. If you smile, a smile will be reflected.Much of the Wasatch Front got tons of rain today... except for my part for some odd reason. We got maybe a few drops. It's also gotten humid a bit. I repeat, humidity in the high desert. Not nearly to Florida levels, but it's certainly odd for the state.
Blog linkWell, here it's been thunderstorms and monsoonic rainfall all night from evening until now. Too bad that I have exams to study for or else I would go check out the various usually dry channels outside.

Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite.Yesterday was shitty. Today less so, but it was still overcast. I won't be surprised if there's a storm tonight.

In other r'lated news, it's still a'rainin'. Ain't let up in 'bout three weeks now. 5 inches up from normal for August, alreadt 2.6 inches up from average for September. Bad timea year for that kinduh weather. Ain't good for the soybeans, ain't good for the corn. Ain't gonna get much'v'a crop if it ain't gonna dry out. All goes to rot 'n ruin. Hail too this week, 'n turnaders. Like it skipped fall 'n winter and went on back to spring. Whole world like to a flipped upside down.
But still, rain. Only this time it's dern cold. An' they had snow up in Sturgis. 's too early in the year for that kind uh stuff. I still got basil growin ain't gone to seed yet.

It's cloudy and that annoys me because I hate when it's just cloudy, it's depressing. I like when it rains though.
“I was thinking that work is like fertilizer in that I’m glad it exists; I just don’t ever want to get stuck in it."Summer was definitely over when i left home a few days ago. Now that I'm several degrees of latitude further south it's definitely still summer.
Fresh-eyed movie blogThe weather has been really nice. I don't trust it. /eyes sky suspiciously
i. hear. a. sound. We had a very short streak of cloudy weather which has now gone back to the typical mostly sunny, dry weather. :(

I don't think this has ever happened before.
what do you mean I didn't win, I ate more wet t-shirts than anyone elseI think Winter is really coming here in New York City...
http://www.ceoportrait.comThis is the third day I've had the air conditioning on. Isn't this supposed to be February?
Fresh-eyed movie blogI'm sure those living in the NE US would be glad to lend you some of their winter if you really wanted one...
Sunny and rather cool.
"Thanks for the lesson. But I don't need you to tell me who I am."Presently, it's a blizzard outside. No, I am not in Boston. I'm in southern Colorado at the base of the Wet Mountains.

Crow: There's a plot?Freezing rain and temps in the mid 20s before the wind is accounted for. Much fun driving in it for work, to be sure. Even more fun when the last person I delivered to said "I appreciate this"... and then only tipped me 2 bucks after driving at no more than 20mph because any faster and I would've been tobogganing in 3000 lbs of metal and plastic.
The highlight of today was almost accidentally t-boning a kid (high school age) who didn't realize that 4WD in a Chevy SUV doesn't make him immune to the laws of physics, and went sliding through a stop sign at an intersection. Fortunately I was driving slow and had enough of a line of sight to see the problem coming, so I was able to slow down enough for him to go sailing in front of me... and into the ditch on the opposite side of the road.
Fortunately, another driver with a truck and a tow line passed there on the way to assist one of his friends, and offered to help the teen get out of the ditch. "Fortunately" because I sure as hell wasn't going to be able to do anything about it with a Honda Civic.
Quit being daft. <_< The Congo is used to summers getting over 34 degrees, with humidity to make you wilt even faster than the temperature alone.
