This thread is for requesting edits or unlocks to Locked Pages or for requesting locks. It can also be used for technical requests to moderators such as:
- creating new pages in the Main/ and other restricted namespaces without going through Trope Launch Pad
- moving discussion pages
- moving reviews
Please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Check Locked Pages and Permanent Red Link Club first. They can provide guidance on what are good and bad requests.
- Include working links in your request to the page(s) in question.
- If asking for edits, state your changes exactly as they should appear on the page, including proper Example Indentation, namespacing, and pothole and quote formatting. And make sure that what you want to add is actually a valid example.
- We do not edit archived articles, even to correct links.
- If you need to have the capitalization of a page title or namespace of a work fixed, ask here

- If you need to remove a ghost wick, go here.
- To request a page to be moved along with its history, go here.
- Some locked pages have ongoing cleanup threads, like Complete Monster (Thread), Five-Man Band (Thread), and Magnificent Bastard (Thread). Other than purely technical requests, edits to these pages ought to be discussed in these threads first.
- Also, we do not do direct edits (other than changing wicks) to Magnificent Bastard or Complete Monster example lists. Rather, you need to do the edit to a sandbox page that follows the format Sandbox.Magnificent Bastard<Name of the example subpage> and Sandbox.Monster<Name of the example subpage> (e.g for Monster.Disney it's Sandbox.Monster Disney) and ask for it to be swapped in on Saturday for Magnificent Bastard and on Monday for Complete Monster.
- Inappropriate pages that keep being recreated, pages banned under The Content Policy and subpages that are disallowed (like Headscratchers pages for tropes) are valid reasons for requesting page locks.

The edits on Naughty Tentacles deleted the reference to The Dream of the Fisherman's Wife, which is universally referenced in academic discussions of the trope and probably should be restored. Here's the sentence that used to be there (link is to the Wikipedia page, which is NSFW because it has the image in question):
by ukiyo-e artist Hokusai, dating back to 1820, features a lady in intercourse with a pair of octopi.
If that explanation is too graphic, how about this (with a SFW Wikipedia link from which The Dream of the Fisherman's Wife can be accessed by those who care):

Yes. I think that should be part of the description, as it is often cited in academia as one of the inspirations for the concept.

It was cut as part of a block of text including lots of other stuff including references to schoolgirls getting raped, etc. If FE really doesn't want that specific work mentioned, that's another thing, but I think it was probably not specifically targeted.

For the Mass Effect page, can we remove the second entry on the Batarians? On the discussion page we concluded they really didn't meet the criteria for Complete Monsters.

Double Standard needs the wick for The Bechdel Test changed to UsefulNotes.The Bechdel Test for indexing purposes.
Brother–Sister Incest needs its "compare with..." Big Brother Complex mention removed/replaced with one of the pertinent terms on the disambig, probably Big Brother Attraction.
