Edit Requests for Locked Pages:

This thread is for requesting edits to Locked Pages. Please keep the following guidelines in mind:

  1. Don't ask for a page to be unlocked here. Use this thread instead.
  2. Check Locked Pages first. Often the reason for the lock will give you some indication of what sorts of edits we will not accept.
  3. Include working links in your request to the page(s) that need edits.
  4. State your changes exactly as they should appear on the page, including proper Example Indentation, namespacing, and pothole and quote formatting.
  5. Make sure that what you want to add is actually a valid example.
  6. We do not edit archived articles, even to correct links.
  7. Main redirects are no longer being created for namespaced work pages. Don't ask for one.
  8. Some locked pages have ongoing cleanup threads, like Complete Monster (Thread) and Five-Man Band (Thread). Other than purely technical requests, edits to these pages ought to be discussed in these threads first.

NOTE: Edited with OP's permission.

Could we have Bryan Danielson changed to his WWE name Daniel Bryan on the Michael Cole page please?

The mark of a good story means not feeling like The Angry Video Game Nerd hearing it.

On the main page for The Lonely Island, under the trope "Stylistic Suck", it reads: "'Laser Cats', wherein Jorma and Akiva attempt to pitch...". It should be Andy and Bill Hader instead of Jorm and Kiv. It should still be on the page, as it stars Andy and is directed by Akiva, but it should be changed.

I think I did that. It's easier if you present finished markup rather than telling me what should be changed.

I think we need to leave TGWTG alone.

Why am I not allowed to have my two cents on that page when others have? I only ask that you post my complaints on the page, not that the page be reopened to everyone at all times. Actually, if there were a system by which to send comments in but no one else could reply, it might benefit these "Dethroning" pages in general. I'm honestly not trying to offend anyone, it would just make me feel better if I could post something that bothers me on the designated page.

the world is so complicated

We locked the page because the amount of complaining reached the proportions where the page lost any semblance of its purpose and had instead devolved into a Flame War. I am not going to waste moderator time on editing more complaints onto it. In fact, I'd rather cut it entirely.

I'd like the main page on Brother-Sister Incest to have a reference to Little Sister Heroine, something to the effect of "This may show up in series which have a Little Sister Heroine."

Added that note.

Griefer contains a pothole to They Plotted A Good Waste that is no longer valid due to it's rename and redefinition.

1385 Troacctid, Sat, 5th Nov '11 3:35:46 PM from California
[up] It fits under the redefinition cuz it quotes the Word of God, but it does need to account for the rename.
Rhymes with "Protracted."
[up]It doesn't fit because Griefer isn't an Audience Reaction or YMMV. That was one of the requirements given in the redefinition.

1387 Troacctid, Sat, 5th Nov '11 5:02:57 PM from California
[up] It is in that example.
Rhymes with "Protracted."
On Double Standard, there is a link to Water Works that needs to be removed, since it's being repurposed as per this thread. Also, right next to the Water Works link is a ptitle link to Men Don't Cry that needs to be changed to a text link.

Fixed both.

What about Griefer? Even if that is a proper example of They Plotted a Perfectly Good Waste, it was renamed to Intended Audience Reaction.

I changed the wick. If it needs to be removed because it no longer applies, let me know.

Something Awful has a pothole to Water Works that needs to be removed. Also, it lists Asperger Syndrome as a trope when it isn't one.

On the Disney page, there is Mother Gothel, but almost all users agreed that she doesn't fit. Can you delete her please??

Can you provide a link to the thread or discussion where this conclusion was reached?

There's a edit request on the discussion page for Orwellian Editor, specifically the line about a little girl being raped by the Kraken. I submit a request on the troper's behalf to use a less Squicky example.

For the record, the exact line:

That picture of young Kairi getting raped by the Kraken from Pirates of the Caribbean, with ample gore? Never heard of it.

I agree that this really seems unnecessarily nasty. Can't we think of some other hypothetical example?

If we want a similar example how about this?

That CG set of Faith raping Lara? Never heard of it.

Doubt people would mind so much.

Pardon me, but I believe that the trope Taking Up The Mantle needs to be added to the Trope Namer list of The Bible article.
Care to critique my villain's prison escape plan?
Please edit the end of the first sentence in the fifth paragraph on the Troll page, which ends with a fullstop/period inside parentheses, when it should be outside of them. Thanks in advance.
